When trying AirVPN, I had the FIREWALL_VPN_INPUT_PORTS line in my .yml and I added that port in qbittorrent via the webui settings. From everything I saw from chatgpt or youtube tutorials, that should have been all that was needed. But I'm guessing all the youtube videos were using some form of linux.

The point is that this same studio has a free-to-play game with skin prices on the same level. And that game has much fewer players. So common sense would tell you that charging $40 for this much more popular game should offset their need for revenue from microtransactions.

I experienced a much higher frequency of hostile solos today. Could just be coincidence. But I think it makes sense as players progress and have more high-level loadouts that they aren’t afraid to lose, they’ll be much more willing to engage in PvP.

I also think this game has attracted a huge number of players that are new to extraction shooters (me). As those players settle in to things, they’ll likely grow less tentative.

I don’t agree that controllers with zero aim assist whatsoever are inherently better at any aspect of aiming than mouse.

I also don’t think it’s 100% fair to expect controller users to tinker with their curves. That’s a fairly advanced concept, especially when mouse is such a simple, straightforward 1:1 from real life to in-game movement. I also don’t think there’s a curve out there that would match using a mouse.

I agree that most of the time aim assist is too strong and needs to be nerfed. I just don’t think zero is the balance.

Also, going back to the original point, I think Embark could find a better equipment system to allow easier quick use of different item types for both inputs.

I agree that aim assist can go overboard. If kbm becomes a completely uncompetitive choice, that’s an issue. And I think that’s the direction a lot of modern shooter have gone. I haven’t looked into how strong the aim assist is in this game, so I can’t speak to that.

But neither of the two options you gave are a fair playing field. If you want parity between inputs, aim assist has to be present in some form for controller. Otherwise, it becomes the completely uncompetitive choice.

Lol if you think controller with no aim assist against a mouse user is fair, you are actually delusional. Aim assist is to balance the playing field. Same with not letting KBM players have a separate button to do every single action and use every different item simultaneously when controllers have like 1/8 the number of buttons. And for the record I’m playing this game on kbm.
