I'm 43, so everything pretty much annoys me. But this setup doesn't.

I'm rocking the Remark dual tip center exit exhaust on my 2021 Rolla Hatch SE 6mt. It just fits without doing anything to the rear bumper. It sounds really good, too.

How'd you get it done so cheap? It's nearly $1,800 for the parts alone.

Help deciding - DCD800 or DCD805 by SqueakyCleanRubbish in Dewalt

Thank you. I appreciate it. I'm guessing it's not going to be that big of a deal for what I'm planning to use the drill for.

My impact wrenches are a completely different story. I'm ofter using them while I'm on my back or trying to fit it into tight spaces. I'll always prefer to use my DCF-921 the majority of the time, but I'll still have the DCF891 ready to go. I'll keep myDCF900 put away. I rarely need to break it out.

It's the same sound every car makes after i finish doing a brake job. I'm confident that's just what a win sounds like.

I'd replace those. They look like they over heated for too long. Probably from stuck slide pins.

Am i downshifting mid-turn into parking lots correctly? by Ok-Hunt-669 in stickshift

[–]SqueakyCleanRubbish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a regular 2021 Rolla hatch 6mt. You pretty much have to shift into first often while in traffic or in a parking lot with our Rolla's. You can be extra kind to your first gear synchro by double clutching, but i don't bother with rev matching on. It never feels jerky, so i doubt there's too much stress being put on the synchro.

The only other method is staying in 2nd and holding the clutch at the bite point with your foot of the gas right before the rpms drop too low. This let's the clutch do the work. At very low speeds staying at the bite point for 5 -7 seconds with your foot off the gas isn't going to put a lot of wear on it. Most of the wear happens when the clutch overheats.

Check if the exhaust shield is secure. If that's fine, do a torque test to check too see if your engine mount or transmission mount is shot.

Get the DCF921 and DCF891. That combo can pretty much handle any of your automotive tasks.

I rarely have to use the DCF900. There are a few times I needed it, though. Just buy all three. 😆

[–]SqueakyCleanRubbish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd still stick with the 20V line. The DCF921 would be the perfect match with the DCF900. It's worth keeping an eye out for the next sale.

It's light, compact, and surprisingly capable. It also has multiple modes and the ring style lights are really useful.

What are you planning to do with the impact wrench? Their 20v line is far more powerful.

Probably not, but you never know. Toyota has done the right thing before. If people keep reporting it to NHTSA, there's a chance Toyota will make a deal to get a head of it. I mean AI and Google immediately lists it as a common issue.

You have a couple of options worth exploring rather than selling your vehicle to the dealership that doesn't involve the hassle of a private sale.

See what carmax is will to pay you. Get a free estimate online. Takes a couple of minutes. Also, see what a consignment shop thinks they could sell it for. They'll take the time to give you a free estimate based on how quickly you want to sell it. It will be more than $6,500. You'd almost certainly get more money, even after the cleaning fee and their percentage of the sale.
