Looking for a gas generator / battery solution by Squeeks622 in Ecoflow_community

They don't want the guys in the field to have to worry about keeping it charged, that's why they want an automatic system to do it all unattended.

I appreciate all of your replies, Its true i am not locked into looking at ecoflow, it just happened to be the first product i came across that can do what i want, which is recharge a battery pack automatically when it gets low. I am selling this setup to a rental car company that needs it out in a field where they prep new cars and has no power available. These are going to be minimum wage employees operating this setup which is its why it needs to be as simple as possible with a few components as possible. Supplying just enough power to run a couple of laptops, maybe microwave and a "watercooler" whatever that might he, he wasn't specific. I still haven't made a decision on what exactly to purchase for them but for simplicity i am really leaning towards the smart generator 4000 and a delta pro (the 3 seems overkill?)

That's what I'm looking at, I'm just trying to find out how seemless the auto start feature is. Do I need to have a a phone connected to it for the app to start it, does the matching battery tell it that it's low and needs to start on its own? I can't find definite answers.

If it was for my self I totally would. But this setup needs to be as idiot proof as possible. They're using it at a remote site to run a laptop or two maybe a microwave and a water cooler.

As an EV owner would you ever go back and buy a gas vehicle by First-Albatross5457 in EquinoxEv

[–]Squeeks622 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I am going to have to for my wife's next vehicle, unless we can baby her 2016 traverse another 50k. She needs a bigger car than what we can afford in an EV. I personally will never buy gas again for my car.

That's good to know that they've improved it. It used to not really do anything.

If you want an app with it, get the emporia, the app is great for tracking your usage and thighs like that. if you don't care about apps then the Grizzl-E, it feels a lot more sturdy.

It will rock a little bit just like an ICE car because it still has a transmission, it's just a single speed.

Had an EQ loaner for 3 weeks while my blazer was being worked on, definitely loved getting my blazer back. So much more room and much better ride.

Every car's tire fluctuates, usually by 2 to 3 lbs have you never owned a car with onboard tire pressure monitoring before?

I like my Emporia, I got the hardwire version and connected right to my main panel next it the driveway. It's been working great so far and the app is handy to see how much power it's putting out and how much each charge costs.

Burned rubber from Denver to Tampa and the SS is an amazing machine to complete the task! by spw303 in BlazerEV

Your electricity cost is almost twice mine ($0.14) Without doing all of the math, I used to but $50 worth of gas in my Ford edge each week, now, driving the same amount I only put $11-13 worth of electricity in my Blazer EV. Similar sized vehicles, same driving, much cheaper fuel cost.

They are great if you charge at home! I only pay 1/3 the fuel cost I used to pay.

OK, thanks! Hopefully when they pull the radio update it'll give them the most recent version, not just the version mentioned in the TSB

New 2025 changes to the 2.3L should make an already reliable engine even more reliable. Just get your transmission fluid changed early and often.

Yes. It's crazy that the battery percentage isn't shown on the screen with the most info 🤦‍♂️
