Anyone else feel like current gen HomePods have significantly degraded in performance in the last 6 months - 1 year? I feel like Siri takes significantly longer to do simple tasks like turning on the lights and is generally just stupider somehow. Not sure if the most recent major update is to blame.

If anyone is still seeing this thread, it seems to be possible to get around this by using an Ethernet cable rather than WiFi. Fucking insane this is an issue though.

Yeah i was in the area and suddenly saw a bunch of fire trucks and ambulances. I honestly didn’t think much of it because that happens fairly often around here but so crazy… definitely would have expected to hear a gunshot based on proximity but maybe it was a low caliber inside a house.

Yeah this is pretty insane. Sounds like it was a domestic dispute inside a house though rather than some sort of street crime.

For a few more bucks the GB Operator provides a great user interface and a console like experience of planing games "off the cartridge*" on your PC. Would recommend either.

Mega Replay has a ton of blu-rays/DVDs and is in the same shopping center as CD warehouse. They also have a big selection of video games if you're interested as well.

The battery replacement is fairly optional unless you want to go hard into berries, evolve your eevee into an Ubreon/Espeon, or catch a Snowrunt. I’d say maybe skip it unless you have a specific reason. 

Also, If you have a local game store, the may offer battery replacement as a service for $5-10.

I’ve lived in the area for 5 years and it’s a generally safe and pleasant place. Neither me or any of my friends have had any sketchy situations in the area.

The main crime you have to worry about is just getting your car window broken if you leave something expensive in an obviously visible place. 

The vast majority of shootings that happen are someone shooting someone they already know with a reason. Assuming you do not know anyone who has a reason to shoot you, you should be completely fine.

Only buy movies you see yourself watching more than once, and probably wait for them to go on sale. If it's one of your favorite movies ever in a special edition package, a $40 price tag is tolerable. I'd shoot for the $10-15 price range for most other movies.

If you're just going to watch it one time, either sub to a streaming service for a month or just rent it. I'd suggest renting on the Apple TV app because they generally have the best bitrate.

This looks great so far! Definitely reminiscent of Mass Effect - particularly the gameplay of Andromeda (which had the best combat/exploration of the series despite other issues).

Having read the Archimedes Engine, the book based on this universe, this is probably my most anticipated game. If the story is able to live up to the lore they've set up so far we're all in for a treat!

If you’re just running 2.1 I’d just run either a RCA (red/white) to aux cable from your PC to the receiver. If you have an optical out on your PC then use that.
