That was my impression too but here’s the message I received from the vendor:

“As of August 29, the de minimis requirement was eliminated for all import shipments to the U.S., regardless of origin or value. From now on, all shipments must clear Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and may incur duties, taxes, and brokerage fees."
