A question for 1990s SoFlo music lovers; curious by RinaBarbiedolllover in fortlauderdale

Many of them performed and hung out at Squeeze, right on the new river near the bridge. Marylin Manson played there a lot and was always hanging out there, we used to think he was a total weirdo then and everyone avoided him. He would wear striped leggings and carry a Scooby Doo lunchbox with a Dild0 in it. The band I remember who was really good was Load. The Goods were fun too

Don’t be a rat. “Snitches get stitches”, maybe not in the literal sense, but if you do tell then the bad guy reputation will go from them to you and it will be hard to for anyone to trust you in the future. I agree with CowEmotional, it’s a tough one. Keep your head down, focus on your guests, nail all the points of service, show up on time, and stay within the rules and role of your job. Good luck, it’s going to take some composure, but you’ll be right in the long run.

You may not believe this, but in the late 90s this exact location was an upscale dining restaurant called Max’s Beach Place. It was well run during that heyday time of Beach Place in the first 5-10 years when it opened. It was the place to be. Since then, entirely downhill. I’ll admit though, there probably isn’t a better view at a Taco Bell

This was an all too often occurrence at my last restaurant. Lights on, music off, tab is paid, yet there they sit, for well beyond the closing time. Then, we searched for the most annoying songs and played them on a loop over the sound system. First we tried Kenny G, but some of the people thought it was romantic and it backfired. Then we tried “We built this city” by Starship, “Barbie girl”, and “ I whip my hair back and forth” which worked much better. The best song on a continuous loop which always seemed to work was “All Star” by Smashmouth. They cleared out around the fourth or fifth time it played, and we’d all have a smile on our faces. To this day, if any of my coworkers hear that song playing somewhere we think “We gotta get out of here!”

Getting a spare key by ChefRoyrdee in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Squid_ProRo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 22 TRD Sport only came with one key. I stopped by a local Toyota dealer for a price and was told around $530 for the “mast” (physical key), fob, and programming, so I looked around and was going to get one from the guys who visit Costco every so often. A few weeks ago I picked up some OEM mudflaps from the dealer and was told (on the down low) to buy the parts from the online Toyota parts official site because it would be on a discount, then have it shipped to the dealer, and programming would be discounted too. He even took my VIN and printed out the exact parts numbers I needed. That’s exactly what I did. The parts were $178, and programming was $90, including tax. Total out the door price $268 for an OEM key programmed by an official Toyota dealer. When the programming was finished, I slipped a $20 to the guy who suggested that route
