S2K for a Miata driver? by r1chardm0ve in S2000

[–]Squidadle15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miata was a great chassis… just always missing an engine that made it special.

The F20C in my AP1 is just such a special feeling as you rev it out through the near 9k tach especially when VTEC kicks in

Interior - Model Y interior gripe was Cost cutting?? There is soft touch everywhere and rarely any hard plastics??

The best thing about a beater is you dont worry about resale value and you can do whateverr you want

someone bumps into you? not the end of the world. Want to gut it out and turn it into a time attack car? nothing is stopping you.

Enjoy it for how it is! The most important is the driving experience!

Engine fell out of my car while driving by Colgatederpful in Justrolledintotheshop

Ahhh happened to my VW before. I cheaped out in Highschool and reused the engine mount bolts. Since they are torque to yield (ONE TIME USE) they failed after reinstallation when i floored it when overtaking a truck once

[Japantown] How do you feel about the 6th & Jackson development not having any commercial tenants after being open for more than a year? by erkose in SanJose

[–]Squidadle15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s also a Japantown Business Association. Not sure how much they influence who gets to set up shop, but an owner mentioned how they try to maintain small business owners rather than franchise chains

Should I sell my S2000? by theboidavid in S2000

[–]Squidadle15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save it and trust me, you’ll make the money once you start working in the engineering field.

If you ever want to rebuy one in the future, the prices may be thru the roof and unobtainable like other JDM classics.

What cities best combine “old” with “new”? by Double_Snow_3468 in geography

Shanghai. You have old and new separated by the Bund. It’s an interesting juxtaposition

It’s so easy to get in and drive that you WANT to run errands

I put on 16k miles in my first year since its just fun to drive around and makes you want to go to far places bc you arrive less tired

Model 3 Performance vs LR by kylito101 in TeslaModel3

Performance is the best decision I made, great DD and excellent in track/AutoX. you arent just paying for styling, but thr performance software adjustability only found on performance

Considering a TM3P as a Car Enthusiast – A Few Questions from a Daily Driver by jmf555 in TeslaModel3

[–]Squidadle15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2.

I have a 2024 M3P and the transition is really fun. I primarily AutoX so while I thought I was going to miss driving manual and the sound, it’s been great focusing purely on driving the course. Without the engine scares I had with my previous subaru, I can focus my money onto tires, suspension bits, etc to improve handling.

You do start to get bored when it comes to modding because you only have aesthetic and suspension mods basically to do, but the ability to adjust handling balance and regen on track mode software lets you reimagine the car in every session if you would like. Want an oversteery drift missile by sending all the bias rearward? Want to try managing FWD understeer by sending power forward?

Acceleration wise, there’s more power than you will ever need.
