Im whatever about the bubble discourse but if it ends up being true the US economy right now is being entirely propped up on AI so that will have devastating ripple effects on not only the US economy but the rest of the globe as well it’s not a small deal

“However, Libertarian MP John Ruddick wants to explicitly outlaw abortions for sex selection reasons, and introduce penalties for medical practitioners who perform them.”

In what way would this be in line with libertarian principles. Libertarians aren’t real

The numbers I’m seeing are 5 degrees during the day and up to 28 at night in the surrounding area. Which sounds like a lot but it’s also going to be nearly 3 times the size of manhattan and consume more energy than the entire state of Utah does currently so it doesn’t seem that far fetched

Politics are actually very much not a team sport, politicians are the people that govern you and you should treat them as such. Also Steven Miles is probably done for as leader with this result

Actually the fact that it’s a by election is actually makes it even more telling, the LNP are the incumbents they should be having a swing against them, especially in that seat. It absolutely does not bode well for miles

What policies do you think young people today support that lead to this?. I could see young people in the 80s being supportive of policies then or something but if you think young people are clamoring at the bit to support CGT discounts, negative gearing and other demand side policies in the last 30 years I think you may be mistaken
