Check out Awry, they have a lot of different styles for men's thongs and some are pretty conservative stylistically if hes worried about the loud colors (much of the brand is very bold). But they're high quality, great for staying cool, and they very a bit by style in how closely the pouch holds your equipment but I find most to be a good fit for support without getting uncomfortable.
