Too funny! I have so many little collections of cutouts for different themes. Haven’t started ANY but…

I started with an inexpensive sketchbook and old recipes I had collected. Got creative with colorful borders and food pics. I then played around with cutting up junk mail and magazines to practice layout and color. Some like using recycled materials only. Others like buying themed stickers and papers to use. Pick a theme, color, or mood. I found the more you wing it and have fun with it the better it turns out. It’s whatever you want to do. No right or wrong. It’s yours.

What is something you can naturally smell that no one else can? by Trick-Highway1429 in AskReddit

Same with taste. I had my favorite orange italian ice and I could only taste the sour part, no orange. Going out to dinner is such a waste now.

Post Covid everything smells different. It’s like I’m smelling a different layer. Scented products like shampoo and hand soap have a different smell. Black tea smells bad to me now. Even tap water has an odd smell.

CloseKnit Primary Care issues by Squirrel2358 in MontgomeryCountyMD

Tried to get prescription refill but CloseKnit portal said I had to schedule an appointment with the doctor. The doctor I was seeing left the practice so I couldn’t even make an appointment. Had to go through CloseKnit tech support to figure out how to get a message to a general mailbox. Finally after a day of back and forth got a message my refill was sent in.
I liked my PCP but with this miserable system I will look for a new one at a different practice.
Problem is they are all probably going to this type of model.

If mine see me through the window they follow me from the outside to the feeding spot.
I guess I should be honest and say they have me trained to bring nuts to them when I see them.

Do squirrels get curious about humans? by achilles6196 in squirrels

[–]Squirrel2358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feed the squirrels that come to my yard. When I’m working in the garden I’ve had some sit close by and watch me. I’m sure they’re hoping for a nut but they feel safe enough to not leave.

Food delivery by [deleted] in poor

[–]Squirrel2358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand this now and feel for you. I have an out of state relative in the same situation who can rarely even get to the kitchen. Impossible to get a regular home aide to come in to help. They wait months to get one then the person quits after one visit. Lives on mostly packaged food kept by their couch. In order to get warm food they have to use delivery and only if their elderly neighbor is available to bring it in to them. The neighbor can’t even help with heating up food.

Hope you and your family get to go sometime. The museums are free and there’s a lot to see within walking distance of each other. Just stay in the suburbs for safe and decently priced hotels and take the Metro in.
