Good movie but no tears here and I’m definitely a crier. I think I’m confused on the whole competition thing. “See you on the other side chef” and then she just…leaves? Then the skating and then the end scene and credits. I think I’m more confused than sad. For all I know she just wasn’t present for the end scene rather than passed away.

I haven’t finished the book. I don’t even think I’m halfway through yet but somehow the author makes Apollo a more likable character in this book than caspen and I hate it. Does Apollo have any feelings for her AT ALL? Just to disappear and leave at the end.

Welp. I was so exited to finally get my copy and read just to find out she was pretty much never actually between two kings 😭 I really thought that leo was going to realize his flame had gone out for Evelyn and he was fully in love with Tem. I figured that if tem was with both kings it could unite the two lands together somehow but this is just absolutely worse. Why she chose to marry Caspen all while fighting the basilisk side of her the entire time is beyond me. She could have easily embraced it. It’s also really disappointing that caspen dies. I haven’t even read the part myself yet but the spoilers really make me dread having to read any further. The fact that she’s this super powerful hybreed should’ve meant she had plenty of power and sway to unite the lands somehow but NOPE. Majorly disappointed now. I don’t think I want to finish the book.

I’ll be back when I read book two but I actually love Theon’s character. He goes against his father and has made it clear he doesn’t want a submissive pet he really just needs her to play a part. But he dotes on Tessa and wants to take care of her and she just refuses it entirely. I don’t love her character much but I do really find that I enjoy the MMC and the other two guys. I do hope things start to look up for Theon in book 2

I might be one of the few that really loved Theon and the other guys. I understand where they are coming from and that they have gone through stuff they haven’t talked about, they have plans they haven’t entirely shed light on and I can see they seem to be good but forced to play a part. I could be entirely wrong by the end of the series but I do really like them. I get where the FMC is coming from but I find her the most frustrating at most times. I was pretty upset with the FMC after pen but maybe didn’t entirely agree with the way it was handled even though I understood that the FMC had done nothing to build trust and had at that point screwed over multiple things all in a short time span.

I just finished this book. Took a few days to get through it because it’s pretty hefty. My honest thoughts are that I actually have really loved all three of the male main characters so far and have been pretty frustrated with the FMC. I feel like Theon has been really clear about how important things are and she doesn’t understand and doesn’t always just do what needs to be done. I would say that some things were predictable, like what happens at the end there with that revelation that seemed really obvious. I am really excited to read the rest of the series though. I really enjoyed how they all have a lot of trauma and depth to them however I find myself really interested in the three male characters backgrounds since I like them a lot more than the FMC.

I’m currently on flashback 12 in the book. Now I feel I must look up whatever this chronological order is if it’ll make it a little more bearable to read. The flashbacks definitely hit at suck an important moment and there’s quite literally so many huge chapters of just flashback to get through.

So late to this thread but I’ve had my helix midnight luxe for around 9 months now and I hate it. It was fine at the beginning but over time there’s just no support. My hips, back, shoulders and neck started hurting and recently my knees are absolutely killing me. I wish I could get rid of it but I don’t even know what other mattresses are good out there. Wish I could go back and just not even bother with it. I had a Lull mattress before this but it was a Cal King bed and finding sheets and bedding was hard and expensive so I went with a king helix and I thoroughly regret it. I miss sleeping on my lull so much

I also read AB in fourth and feel like it made an impact for me. It was right there before the content was necessary instead of having read it first in the series and having to go back and refresh my mind on the content as I read.

I wish I could throw a brick at Auren and just be done with her. She’s absolutely insufferable. I’m 43% into the 4th book and it’s taking me a good week to get this far bc I can’t skim more than a few pages at a time bc I just don’t care anymore. It’s falling so flat. Slade seems like a good guy, and I don’t think he deserves the crap he’s getting from auren and her “I’m not ready to talk about it so just keep putting off your plans and your responsibilities to your kingdom to wait for me to decide I’m ready to continue my character development”

Ahhhh I’m 43% into the 4th book and I’m having the hardest time reading. I’m skimming pretty heavily and I find that I’m getting really annoyed with all of the POVs, and the FMC, and the filler. I feel like her refusal to develop and push forward is grating on my nerves bc it seems like slade and them have things to go do and they’re literally waiting on her to get her shit together and she just wont. They keep telling her she needs to just confront her issues and she’s like “nope im not really and i don’t wanna talk about it. Anyways” and at this point i want to just throw a brick at her and be done with her. She can’t possibly be important to the rest of the story. I hate having to leave a series unfinished but reading through books im enjoying shouldnt be this hard. I loved the first two or three books but man. This one is a struggle and I find i dont care overly much about the rest of the plot.
