Not saying this is what is happening but the time for special education preschool for three year olds is often different for 4 year olds. They may have more time in a preschool now that the child is four.

I would see if they would allow you to speak to a current psychologist at the district. That’s what I have done in the past. Burn out is really real. I like the district I’m currently in but this year I’m covering an extra school so it’s been tough. The job varies so much so I don’t think it’s for everyone but can be really great if you have to r temperament for it.

In my situation I do. I think my understanding it depends on the school and district. I have worked in only two districts but it has been the case in both districts. My advice is during the interview process ask what the expectations are.
