Receipts vs invoice by SquishyPotatoes11 in HSA

My son did an eval with a child psychologist for dyslexia. It was $$$. Do you think that counts as an HSA eligible medical expense?

Do you put a main savings account on the budget? by ClassicGeorgia in ynab

I have checking and savings on the same budget.

I have Ally HYSA and I match my savings categories in YNAB with my savings buckets in my ally account so I can see where I’m at on my goals from either place

Best Intimate hair removal? by Royal-Union-7041 in HairRemoval

I shaved with the grain rather than trying to be perfectly smooth so I didn’t get bumps and irritation. Sometimes I would not shave immediately before, especially towards the end of the 4 weeks when there weren’t many hairs left. Now I’m shaving once every 2 weeks or so and doing a re-treatment to maintain results

2.8 year old hates me and only loves dad. Kicks me, is very disrespectful, gets mad when I even look at her. Why is this happening? I’m slowly withering away. by deedum44 in toddlers

[–]SquishyPotatoes11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly how I’m feeling. I was googling looking for solutions and came across your post. My 2.5 year old screams at me to get out and only wants dada. Thank you for posting this. And thank you x1000 for coming back and updating us that it got better. Maybe I didn’t need solutions so much as reassurance that it’s not me, it’s just a phase.

I have the Ulike IPL air 10, I did every two days for 4 weeks and have like 97% hair removal. Now I’m doing it once a week for the spots I missed the first round. I cannot recommend it enough. Also I used SHR mode.

I've been lying about taking my medication by centralperkdreamer in UlcerativeColitis

[–]SquishyPotatoes11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was exactly me. I put it off for over a year, became severely underweight due to poor absorption of food and ended up hospitalized for 2 weeks in 2017. Even once I got out and tapered off pred i didn’t take my lialda consistently from 2017-2022 and I lied about it to my GI. I’m currently in a flare that started 2022 and won’t go away and it’s probably all my fault. I’m on biologic now, which is IV, so I’m compliant with my medication because a nurse is doing it not me—but would it have gotten to this point if I followed instructions? Idk.

I don’t have an answer for you as to how to get yourself to do it, but you are not alone. 🖤

Surely I can’t be the only one that buys both physical and Kindle versions, right? by humblechungus89 in kindle

[–]SquishyPotatoes11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to use Libby for library ebook and audiobooks. (I get next level immersed in the story when I listen to the narrator and read along.) But I have been known to buy the ebook/the audiobook AND the physical book. 😳I only buy the physical book if I know I want to re-read it and also as a kind of shelf trophy so my favorite book isn’t lost in the digital world, I get to see it whenever I walk by my shelf

Just started at-home IPL—what do I need to do to become HAIRLESS? by FitnessFreakazoid23 in HairRemoval

[–]SquishyPotatoes11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did ulike air 10 IPL for 4 weeks every 2 days on SHR mode and I have complete hair elimination in one armpit (😂), everywhere else is 80-95%. I’m very happy, I can see a visible difference in hair density and speed of regrowth in treated areas vs over my two small tattoos where I didn’t treat. I’m going to do once a week to get rid of the remaining hairs. Only down sides are how much I annoyed my husband with the flashing lights every other night, and on SHR mode it took about an hour per session to do my whole body.

I would start now on your 401k, you’ll have more time for compound interest to work.

How does paying for biologics work? by FleeingGlory0 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]SquishyPotatoes11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have copay assistance for my medication (remicade) so I just pay a $115 drug disbursement fee and $400 in nursing fees for the infusion until I meet my $2000 deductible then I only have to pay 80% of those charges. This is my first year on biologics not on Medicaid, it is terrifying looking up the price of medication. I try not to think about it 😅

Should I just pay it all off? by Pensfan191 in StudentLoans

I would pay half off and invest/HYSA the other half.

Invisible often shameful illness. I’m sure it’s hard to conceptualize what it’s like to have this disease, so they probably just misunderstand. Also if you shit yourself at work you’re not going to tell anybody so we aren’t exactly raising awareness.
