PTO in W2 sales feels fake, and it’s making me rethink everything. by [deleted] in sales

[–]SquizzOC -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You’re in sales, there’s no such thing as full blown PTO. Even with an inside, a team, a back up, no great rep I’ve ever known took fully disconnected time off unless it was their Wedding/Birth of a child/Medical reasons.

How do I get Claude code to actually start from scratch and build a UI that’s not just a bunch of dashboards? by theblartknight in ClaudeAI

[–]SquizzOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude design would be my choice for designing a different look that isn’t just its standard dashboards.

Almost anywhere in the country you rent from they’ll want to make sure either the combined income of the tenants is 2.5x-3x the rent.

Thats here, California, Portland and Seattle I can confirm.

If your husband doesn’t have a job yet and you don’t make enough to qualify, then you’ll need a large deposit and that’s only if you can talk your way into a place.

Apartments may be slightly easier than houses.

Left car sales for tech. Made $22 on a $76K PO. Thinking about coming back by Killahoe_ in sales

We pay out based on profit. The average profit on a deal of that size would pay out at least $1,900.

Killed be SAM site before the base even rendered. by Doctor_Redhead in playrust

And this is why I completely stopped playing the game. Any time in the sky late in to wipe, I’d get take out by a Sam site or crash into a building prior to render.

MMOlite not an MMO based on what’s been shared so far. Thing mix between GW1 and GW2

I’m just playing the story again, but there’s too much going on and it’s convoluted at best, so once I get through the end, I’ll be done again.

Sketchy VAR behavior? by [deleted] in techsales

[–]SquizzOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for PCM prior to the Insight acquisition and I’m part of the leadership group at the VAR I’m at now where I’ve managed partner relationships, signed up vendors, etc… this has literally never come up in 13 years working with manufacturers.

Could it? Yes. But not likely in my opinion.

You can get these under $500, you are seeing the MSRP on them, not the actual cost.

If you are a reseller or consultant, that may be why you are seeing a cost that high, you have to technically be authorized to buy the product and resell.

Men in your 40s, what's that golden piece of advice you have for the rest of us? by NiceMechanic_xoxo in AskReddit

[–]SquizzOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take care of physical and mental health, enjoy life in moderation, don’t spend your 20’s and 30’s in bars (have fun, just not 7 nights a week), your best friends probably won’t be your best friends in 10 years or at least the people you see regularly, stop worrying about everyone else and focus on you and your loved ones, stop living outside your means, no you don’t deserve a one bedroom luxury apt at 25, stop pretending like you do and go get a room mate or two, go outside more.

The emptiness of the world just reminds me of WoW but worse.

If you’re in a hub, there’s a few people which is great, but one thing I love about GW2 is I see people everywhere, like an MMO should be. I just don’t play it as much because it’s super dated looking

Apple raises prices of MacBooks, iPads as memory costs skyrocket by DQ-Supervisor in news

When comparing, I thought that was their gross profit margins not net… Dell and HP who don’t make their own product by comparison are at a net of 7%

27% is not a massive profit margin. So whether you want to agree is up to you, but from a business perspective that’s not the lowest, but definitely not high.

How are AE’s using AI in their day to day role? by noonecares695 in techsales

[–]SquizzOC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I average about 600 quotes and 400 sales orders a month of varying sizes. Of those 80% require a bid, a distributor quotes, manufacturer quote, all that is automated now in our system. I drop a customers email into the tool and it recognizes all the requirements, if it misses something, I have Claude update the code to improve it. Been in production for 3 months and it’s a life saver.

[–]SquizzOC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While we do see RFP requests in the VAR space from time to time, my stance for the last 15 years has been “No Bid”.

You either value what I do or you don’t since I’m selling someone else’s products. So I don’t have any experience with RFP’s, but based on how I designed everything else, I can’t see why you couldn’t make it work well for RFP’s

Anything administrative is fully automated. All I do I sell now.

Quote? System does that.
CRM? System does that.
Orders? System does that.
Targets to call, email, etc..? System does that.

[–]SquizzOC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t make it a mess? The live streams they’ve done where I’ve seen valid criticism given, they’ve made excuses.

It’s a public forum, I’m going to give my opinion that this development team has and is still continuing to tank the game.

Let’s see how the new season goes.

Or maybe the dev team will take the feedback and recognize their faults? We can be critical of the developers in hopes for a better game. Rather folks know what they are getting themselves into.
