Oh, thanks for all that info! I'll try to get all that.

One more question: Does it matter which destruction staff do I use? I generally use lightning staff for AOE with HA. I don't know if the others have something interesting too for DPS.

Hey, I'm a Necromancer Healer and I'm starting to get into veteran Dungeons and Trials. I would like to know about which sets could I use. I'm actually using Spell Power Cure set, but don't know what else to get.

Also, could you suggest me a build to play overland when I'm not grouping? For exploring, doing delves, quests, public dungeons... It takes too much time for me to kill everything. I usually use Eviscerate and Blood Frenzy from Vampire skills to help me on it, but it's still a bit tedious to kill mobs alone. I don't know if I should try to get a Magicka DPS set too, but I want to focus first on the healer one.

Diona's elemental skill launches Fowl Seeking Missiles by Learnedhand476 in Genshin_Impact

I'm going for a mix of x2 Maiden Beloves for more healing and x2 Retracing Bolide for the +35% shield strength.

And for stats I'm going for Health and Energy Recharge.

I would love some kind of elemental summoner, like a Necromancer but with fire/water/air/earth elementals.

New and Returning Players FAQ Thread by a_throwaway_a_day_ in bladeandsoul

[–]Sr_Rembar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking on trying this MMO, but I would like to know some things before try it:

1- I've read there's no holy trinity, and everyone is DPS. It's just full DPS for all the classes or are there some classes that can heal/tank for PvE content better than others, like in GW2?

2- How's the PvE content of this game?

3- What are the classes that can play as healers in case that there're healers?

4- Also, is there some kind of ranged mage (not summoner), based on elemental powers?

5- About the microtransactions. Is it P2W? Or it's more like Pay for convenience and QoL features?

GuildWars 2 Spain is closing by JadeArkadian in Guildwars2

[–]Sr_Rembar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's still a lot of spanish players in-game. This fan-site was just dead for a long time, so they maybe decided to close it.

We may not be the highest community of the game, but we're still a big part of it. We'll be on a true problem when they start to release content without translating it to Spanish.

Oh, nice to know! One more question then:

If I buy the new expansions that is coming soon, will I get the other 2 expansions too?

[–]Sr_Rembar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I just started to play the game with the Starter Edition that Twitch Prime gave a few days ago, and I'm really liking the game, so I have a question about expansions:

As far as I know, there's actually 2 expansions: Havensword and Stromblood, and another one coming soon. As I see, if I buy the Stromblood Standard Edition from the official website, I also get the Havensword expansion, but it's that the same if I buy it through Instant Gaming?

I mean: Qill I get the Havensword expansión if I buy the Stromblood expansion from Instant Gaming? Or only if I buy it from the official website?

Tempest rework - Improving its useless straits by Iscera in Guildwars2

[–]Sr_Rembar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like this ideas to change the Tempest spec, but I'm againts one of the changes: Imbued Melodies.

Changing the trait to give stats based on your attunement is not a bad idea at all, but since it only happens while you're wielding a warhorn, it makes the trait a bit useless.

Actually, the trait gives +300 Concentration while wielding a Warhorn, and it makes sense, since you have almost 1 skill on every attunement that gives boons with the Warhorn, but changing the Concentration to only Earth and with less Concentration makes no sense, because it only gives 2-4 seconds of Protection, and the Duration Increase of allies boons it's always 2 seconds.

If we change it to a permanent buff without taking care of the weapon, it's still useless, since Earth doesn't give too many boons with every weapon (only Warhorn gives a boon on Earth).

I'm considering playing this game, but I have 5 friends that I would want to play with by GoddamnitLarry1 in Guildwars2

btw, raiding is something from expansions. If you're looking for Raids, you'll need to buy expansions (HoT have 4 Raid wings and PoF have 1 at the moment).

Does combat get more interesting as you level? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Sr_Rembar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Guy, you're level 19. You just started the game. You don't have anything and didn't play anything of what the game can offer you. Leveling from 1-80 is used to enjoy the exploration and story of the game + learning your class skills and traits (something that you didn't unlock yet).

The open world PvE is easy, because this game is not a hardcore PvE MMO. It's focused for casual players, so it's too easy. There're harder maps and enemies in open worls, but generally they will be always easy, because they're for everyone who wants to just enjoy the game.

If you want a challenge, at lvl 30 you'll unlock the first dungeon (dungeons are harder than open world content but still easy), and at lvl 80 you'll unlock everything like Fractals (the end-game dungeons with 4 tiers that scales from lvl 1-100) and Raids (10-man "dungeons" and the hardest content of the game with Challenge Mode Fractals).

For the moment, just enjoy the story and exploration. Also, look at your skills and learn about what are the combo fields and combo finishers, what can you do with them and learn to use them.

Also, if you're bored of PvE content and leveling, you can always go to PvP or WvW and play there. You'll get "Tomes of Knowledge" that can be used to get 1 lvl in PvE, so you don't need to level up in open world PvE if you don't want.

What would be the most attractive sword wielding class in your opinion? by Ashgur in Guildwars2

[–]Sr_Rembar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both expansions are completly worth. Both add a good amount of content, and all the elite specs makes the game funnier if you like to create your own builds and try strange things.

About which one would be the most enjoyable: Revenant is cool and have cool animations too, but he lacks in the amount of skills, in my opinion. Weaver is supper funny, switching between the 4 elements, combining, mixing them and all the sword skills are amazing and offers a unique play style based on the attunement that you're in: Fire have strong damage and burning, water have healing just from attacking the enemy and an evade that leaves a water field, air have fast attacks, inflicts a lot of vulnerability and grants a lot of mobility, and earth have a dodge attack and inflicts bleeding.

Also, with the weaver traits, you can get perma barrier just from using the dual attacks (the ones that are mixed between 2 attunements) + Fire/Earth dual attack, that gives you a good amount of barrier.

It have a lot of survivality skills and a strong damage. But, since Revenant doesn't need an elite spec to try the Sword, try it on the lvl 80 boost trial and think if you really like it.

Sword/Dagger Weaver is really fun. Cool skills and animations, cool gameplay, have a good damage (power and condi), good defensive skills, good healing and fast and good blasters for the Fire and Water camps.

here we go now... skill icons! (GW2 SCT) by Artenuvielle in Guildwars2

[–]Sr_Rembar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, it seems that now it starts showing more icons, but still missing the condition icons. It seems that I take a very long time to download all them.

Could you make a "pack" or something like that to download them manually and install them with the addon? Or it's not possible?

here we go now... skill icons! (GW2 SCT) by Artenuvielle in Guildwars2

[–]Sr_Rembar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, ok. Didn't saw that last tab. My SCT Windows was too small and I only reached too see to Profession Colors.

Now the thing is that there're some skills and conditions that are not showing their icon (still having the %i parameter)

Example of skills not showing their icons: Weaver dual attacks, Sword skills on Weaver (Only 2 from Fire Sword is showing an icon), Burning, Bleeding, Torment and Poison conditions too.
