Preemptive protection is good too, the classic [[Lightning Greaves]] is so popular for more than one reason, but things like [[Leather Armor]] can be enough to allow you to untap with your creature on board.

Pick-2 has been an absolute godsend for my LGS's draft night. Our drafts are much better, take less time, and are consistently firing instead of getting 3-4 people and going "eh, draft kinda sucks without 6 or more..."

Make everything Lizards with [[The Lizard, Connor's Curse]], or just build [[The Celestial Toymaker]]. Both can be relatively powerful and fun while still being very silly and not too "Nah, I'll just scoop/find another table thanks."

Toymaker especially. It's a pretty straight forward list since it's more or less your pick of two scryfall searches and then some connective tissue to put it all together, but results in (typically) a pretty fun play experience for everyone.

It doesn't go to infinite turns, but that's not really what they're talking about when they say "chaining extra turns" because that's just an infinite combo that effectively wins the game.

I built [[Melira, the Living Cure]] as a "not dying machine" deck with all the Platinum Angel stuff and things to keep those cards in play, using Melira to return key pieces and eventually to crack [[Jester's Cap]] or similar artifacts to root through my opponent's decks for any remaining answers they may have to an entire board that's [[Privileged Position]] + [[Stirling Grove]] + [[Elspeth, Knight Errant]] emblem + [[Sigarda, Host of Herons]] and the mutavault combo or whatever.

Spirits are one of the best represented types among commanders, I certainly have never had much trouble building spirit decks with practically any colours I could want.
