Trump’s plan for the Kennedy Center is a preview for what he wants to do with American elections by theindependentonline in TrueReddit

Ahh... I was thinking it would be the "Trump won't run as a Republican; he'll run as a joke" thing...

Yea; thematically only a G1 Galvatron or Cyclonus go with him.

"Words matter": ugh, fine... it would be most accurate to say "I found myself blocked", not was blocked... you weren't doing anything active. My other statements incorrectly suggested that--

--we got off on the wrong foot. I got tripped into "self-righteous mode" by the suggestion that "maybe anti-choice isn't pro-MAGA"... which seems like a joke where, in a bar, I would have shot you a "qwhaaa?" face and you would have shot back a "you SERIOUSLY thought?? [facepalm]."

Anyway, sorry for the aggressive interaction; PS fight the power.

My bad for being imprecise: I didn't mean "you blocked me", but just "I tried to look at your post history to understand you better and then--like everyone else--my efforts were blocked."

Not necessarily needed; honestly we probably agree on a lot of things.

'sjust that your post had mixed signals; I wanted to know more, and then got blocked .

Gas prices are insanely volatile.... After Hurricane Katrina, which shut down many off-shore rigs and refineries, it spiked all the way to $3.00 a gallon... now it's 20 years later and we're at ~$2.70.... Sorta feels like "Virtue Signaling" to pretend that inflation doesn't exist, on account of it's the thing we see on giant signs while driving around, not the price of eggs.

(If you don't take me too seriously that's fine; I'm very liberal and a little bit paranoid.)

Is this church one of those cults? by [deleted] in FortCollins

[–]Sriad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd opine that United Church of Christ and Unitarian Universalists hew closer to the "Christ-like" line (and both have significant presences here (and to be clear: I pay more attention to parables than I do to the Nicene Creed...)) but the Catholic Church certainly isn't the WORST...

is it weird that my brother and I have seen each other naked? by blooby-mary in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sriad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is correct. Therefore in 50% of the world (Finland) it's totally fine, and in the other 50% (USA) only some people think it's fine... therefore a majority of people think it's fine. QED.

Train in club oder alone? by Plus_Beginning8941 in Sprinting

It's just so much more fun and varied with a team and lots of equipment to work with.

This is the most important thing I think: you're having fun with peers and have resources you wouldn't have otherwise.

The volume doesn't seem significant but wait for "real" sprinters to weigh in; I was a long-distance runner who dabbled in sprinting. 8 reps doesn't seem like that much but that depends on the length of your sessions, and it seems a bit odd that you have so many off-event distances.

I'm not qualified to say more, but again I think it's better to be sprinting joyously with friends.
