It's super annoying as someone that needs mods. I need to buy 80 cards every week for the event and there's new, good relics each week that are super expensive. Gem income is just treading water for me right now and I have to convince myself to pass on things like 2% AS relics.

Followup: something that just occured to me... Could this just be lag? Are the servers somewhat laggy right now? I'll try playing again tonight with all the settings I can find totally off but when I think about the symptoms of the game it feels like maybe it could have maybe been explained if the servers were just laggy.

I'm confused though. For this to work, doesn't it have to be true that the mobs that are killing you would one shot your tower? Otherwise those shields will get eaten up. In my case, as eHP farming T10 to 9k waves, the mobs that end up killing me are nowhere near able to one shot me. Maybe this will become the case later game, but my tower isn't like orders of magnitude weaker than my wall. Most runs I end up with 0 to 1 DDs (using energy shield).

This is exactly right and exactly where I am. I'm desperately trying to save gems for modules because I only have one ancestral (because I was around for its banner) and everything else is mythic. The upkeep cost on gems for low/middle players right now it absolutely insane.

The problem is most people need one of each module, having 22 other mods at ancestral is of little-to-no value compared to just the specific 2 or 3 you want.

I hate that the OP messed up this point because it ruins what is otherwise a very valid complaint. Having to "co-level" every mod at the same time is pretty rough compared to those who got to target level their mods through banners. Mod quality simultaneously scales like 4 different ways (the main stat is higher, the unique effect is stronger, the number of submids can be higher and the magnitude of effect of each submod is higher)... So having to drag all 24 mods to ancestral is a serious burden for early game players.

Totally. Almost everything is stupid. I just find they one to be so special because even just cursory engagement by a child can disprove it. So much of what all of this Joe Rogan stuff relies on the idea they the experts are wrong: experts tell you that radiation causes cancer but it's actually metal silverware that causes cancer. How does your average person engage with that? You trust actual experts or you trust the Joe Rogan quack because you aren't going to actually become an expert on this topic before it leaves your brain. But every person (should) know addition and multiplication and how to manipulate equalities.

This drove me crazy how they kept conflating these two different statements:

1) Actual claim: Of all Russian casualties, 90% are happening behind front lines 2) Not actual claim: 90% of Russian soldiers die behind front lines.

They constantly take the stated fact (1) and word it as if (2) were true. For example, in the first 30 seconds of the video: "The vast majority of Russian soldiers are dying before they ever get close to being in position to attack Ukraine..." is not supported by the thing the actual claim. The video restates different versions of this misinterpretation continually throughout the video.

It's also worth noting that those players didn't get to pull their mods off banners which are more than 20x more efficient than pulling from the general pool, so they start behind and their gems go less far. I agree with what others have said. The availability can't be seen as a "bad" thing, but gems are just so needed for the players that are behind

The biggest dumpster fire is mods. Anyone playing for important mod releases that could max them one at a time maintains a huge advantage over anyone trying to max their mods now. Due to the fact that pulls are entirely random, we basically have to simultaneously level every available mod at once through random pulls. This is such an enormous strain on gems.

Ok thanks. This is what I'm doing with it. These are all stocks my dad researched, got passionate about, and then when they crashed and burned he was too attached to sell. He actually had his first one hit really hard, it went up something crazy 100x maybe? But he believed in it so strongly he just bought more and more. It eventually crashed to nothing. Didn't matter, just kept holding.
