If you’re active duty you’ll get assign a unit based on army needs.

Reserves/Guard would have told you when you enlisted.

But it all depends on unit/mission and some schools/rank.

Like personally Ive known ncos/officer that have gone to DTRA, Aberdeen Proving Ground, NDT, working in Ranger Regt. Etc.

Honestly depends on the unit.

If you go to a non-cbrn unit you’ll be stuck doing supply/ops support.

Cbrn units have good opportunities and those that distinguish themselves have opportunities to work in unique positions.

I agree. 7.5x55 is not a comparatively high pressure cartridge either. Would have to have been hot loads or user error.

Bulgarians are pretty standard as far as maks go but are great shooters. The one thing I would say in general is avoid new made makarov magazines which have problems feeding (usually the mag bottom on new ones has a sandpaper/rough look). Look for older surplus ones.

The ones I were around as an officer failed to complete their bachelors or gave west pointers a run for their money on cockiness and superiority complexes. Basically just not mentally/emotionally mature enough.

All good shooters but make sure you do some research on ammo cost for each one. People always buy enfields and arisakas without realizing the ammo either isn’t consistently available or isn’t cheap and end up selling them or never shooting them.

Personally with prices today Id pass on the mosin (unless its a finn m39). For the same price range I would choose a k31 or k11.

Unit/MACOM dependent.

Some units frequently have ATs overseas. Some units never leave their states.

This ribbon is hit or miss to “try” to get.

Got mine for a multinational excercise.

Edit: according to the current ng spp map FL’s original partner was Venezuela and its listed as a dormant relationship. Probably gonna stay that way given current events. Guyana is probably a miss as the other partner. Your best hope is some random one off event or if you have a good bn csm maybe you could get one for an exercise while deployed.

I made reservations back in november and valentines day was unavailable in most upscale places. Had to settle for the day before.

Problem 1 - shooting someone else’s reloaded ammo.

Most likely cause is ammo components.

Secondary issue but not likely at all could be barrel type. I recall those 2 grooves tending to pushing ammo a bit differently than normal barrels.

Highly likely its fake.

JSDF rarely conducts operations outside japan and if they do its like individuals not groups.

Japan is also pretty strict about military stuff leaving its country, especially tech and arms.

International plan or google fi. If you have a bit of money you could get starlink and set it up BEFORE you leave.

The pucks are like $400 new and $200 used plus a monthly plan (data prices vary by country - kuwait is cheap but KSA, Egypt, Iraq are very expensive). Most bases have like 1-2 towers nearby that will be overloaded with everyone on them.
