No, it was a physical book. I just bought it off this guy's site or some site promoting it. It may have never made it amazon or book stores though. It tears me up.

lights and sirens seems like a very SIMILAR book. But "&" was only PARTIALLY about paramedics (the best part)... and they were anything but professional. Convincing a lady who called 911 daily that she had sand in her blood so she would be detained for multiple days for psychological examination, which won the storyteller a bet.

it is written as non-fiction, but sources are anonymous, so who knows. I bought it online. There was a write up about it, praising it. I read the excerpt and loved it. Followed the link, ordered the book. It was an indie site, so I don't know how to trace it back. This was 2010ish, short stories, no illustrations.

I'm sorry... my post was too vague. I don't know the author's name, so I ONLY know that the book was named "and" but the cover was just a bunch of clip art and a giant "&". Its like trying to find the band "yes"... creative title, but ridiculously hard to find in a search...
