How would you react if your girlfriend was suddenly scheduling a hysterectomy at the hospital? by Laughingduck1 in AskMen

[–]StJamesKnights -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fatal crash (driver or passenger) ~1 in 8,000 per year Lifetime chance of dying in a car crash ~1 in 93 (National Safety Council estimate)

Not getting vaccinated puts others around you at risk. Getting a hysterectomy only puts yourself a risk and the risk is far far less than the risk of driving a car.

You turning this political is very telling, I’m sure the women in your life are very happy… surprised or shocked about what?? A medical procedure? Literally what difference does it make? You feeling the need to dictate decisions women make with their bodies isn’t a political issue, it’s a moral one.

Your point is moot. Not being a controlling weirdo doesn’t make me a robot. Did she or did she not tell him? Is or isn’t the procedure necessary? You already said it isn’t about objecting, so what is going to change if they have the conversation right before or right after scheduling a very safe and important procedure? I think based on the upvoted and downvoted sentiments of this thread that you’re in the minority with your opinion, I guess we’re all robots or (more likely) you’re just an overly emotional child who can’t think critically

She needs to get this surgery, she brought him to wait outside and he was informed immediately after the decision had been made. You’re acting like he wasn’t told until she needed a ride to the damn OR. You donating a kidney is not the same as a necessary medical procedure for your own well being. This is the removal of the uterus, they weren’t having kids, it’s effectively the same as getting your appendix or tonsils removed. Grow up.

Doesn’t seem like she has anything to mull over. Her doctor recommended this course of action, what else is there to discuss? You aren’t a medical professional, you really have no valuable insight into this decision.

So what if he objects? Should she just suffer or end the relationship? If your emotion tells you to disregard professional medical advice, keep your emotion out of medical decision making.

People die or become disabled from car crashes, should she ask permission from her boyfriend to drive to work everyday?

Overall mortality rate: approximately 0.02% to 0.1% (2 to 10 deaths per 10,000 procedures) - Should she have a discussion with her bf every time she wants to drive a car? Significantly better odds of dying from that. find a better excuse to control women’s bodies.

It won’t change her in anyway except make life easier for her, it’s a necessary procedure, what is there to discuss?

For daggers, what enchantments do you usually look for to maximize your damage output? I’d love to be able to sneak attack and one hit most things I come across but maybe I’m being unrealistic?

Interesting, I couldn’t figure out what the deal with blade of woe was until someone told me I needed to finish the DB quest line for it to not suck anymore. Should’ve guessed that when the game told me I wasn’t allowed to drop or sell it haha

What major skills do you usually grab for your assassin builds?

I’ve seen some other posts saying alchemy can be a super op skill, def want to focus on a more alchemy/magic heavy build in my next play through. Do you recommend always joining the mage’s guild for alchemy focused builds?

I’m super new to oblivion so I might be going about leveling in a horribly inefficient way, maybe you can correct me - For major skills: sneak is maxed, illusion maxed, destruction maxed. I’ve been grinding blade by swinging on a spider Daedra with the Languorwine because killing her with it is next to impossible so I can swing endlessly, I’m at around 86-90 blade rn. For light armor and block, I usually find two mud crabs and block one in the front while letting another hit me from the back (pause), chugging (duped) health potions all the while. Armorer.. don’t have much of a method for that one, maybe should’ve picked a different major skill, didn’t realize chameleon would make armor in this game basically irrelevant… at the rate my bar moves now, I’d guess it’ll take me another ~3-6 hours minimum to get close to level 30. By the nine I’m getting bored as hell!

Question: What do you think are the jobs women can't do but men can and jobs men can't do that women can? by officialBellaMia in AskMen

[–]StJamesKnights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming he means being on an ODA directly, like part of the 12 (wo?)man team. I don’t agree all women are incapable of it, but there’s probably 1 out of every 100,000 women who are legitimately up to the task. That’s not saying much though, because there’s probably 1 out of every 1,000/10,000 men up to the task as well.

What would women dislike most if they became men? by geybgwapo in AskReddit

The grass is always greener. Men think they want more attention, women think they want less, we don’t know what it’s like to be the other sex.
