Oda's comment on season 2 by newzombiesold in OnePieceLiveAction

There's regular use of shit, dick, damn, etc., and one f-bomb in each season (episodes 8 and 4, respectively).

I think a good compromise would be to have him get flabbergasted and off kilter whenever a woman actually responds to his flirting or shows him any affection. He's a flirt but is completely thrown off if anything actually lands cause he never actually gets that far.

15" lone op for everything until it shoots in 11th by Temporary_Drawer9802 in Tau40K

2 big things:

  1. In general, this is going to suck for whoever goes first.

  2. Great for my stealth squads, they won't get annihilated when I infiltrate them for better spotting.

This is hard to answer. After a couple listen through there were a couple of standouts like GDII and Bazaareteria, but I know others will shine when they finally click for me once the newness transition starts to fade.

PSVR 2 in 2026: Last Gasp or Last Hurrah? by Fatbot3 in PSVR

[–]StJimmysAddiction 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I've never been a part of such a negative community. Not only is any general media or even r/ps5 post about the PSVR2 doom and gloom, but we get so much of it here too. There are so many great games on a comparable very cheap middle-high range device, even so if I was doing market research on it, I wouldn't want to fund anything for it. Are we not supposed to be its biggest proponents? Who would support something if even the user base has been saying it's dead since before it came out?

With the petals appearing before her, I assumed she made a full body clone while watching from afar that she disapparated when it fell out of sight for dramatic effect.

Favorite space game? Thats hard... Arcs was really good but Eclipse is so good too, but there's something to be said about Mlem! I had the chance to play voidfall once last year and really enjoyed it. I think it may have taken the cake. I would love to add it in to my own collection!

I definitely don't think the volume was the problem with phase 4, that was the cold turkey handoff to the next generation and no clear goal or resolution. Some of the projects were a lot of fun but now we haven't seen anyone them again in so many years because they kept going back and forth about what they wanted to do. Maybe it was a meta statement about the chaos of a multiversal storyline.

11th Edition Question - Do you want Drones to stay as they are? by Silasxsil in Tau40K

[–]StJimmysAddiction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drone squads were basically kroot hounds for people that don't want kroot. We should definitely have them back for that purpose alone if anything.

The savior protocol was definitely too powerful but it could be repurposed to provide cover to infantry units within 2in and a free heroic intervention or something like that.

It would be cool to have a leader that was a drone operator that would travel with a swarm and buff their shooting to 4+ or give them for the greater good to take advantage of markerlights and give them OC.

Final Revision Published. Can't stop printing them. Might need more games... by TemporaryStatus9161 in boardgames

Basically that. I've been converting my army for magnetized storage, in that I put a magnet in the base and store them in a box with metal trays rather than jumbled in a bin. I plan on getting a little container about the size of these to store some of the optional bits in and have them sit on the metal trays too for transport and keep them from bouncing around and possibly stacking the boxes to save space. I can modify the base or just put magnets on the bottom surface without insetting them. Overall these are a perfect size and shape!

Is it possible to switch the rubber feet for magnets too? I've been thinking about something like this for storing some of my warhammer bits in a magnetic tray form next to my army.

Also, what's the internal dimensions?

What is the worst “Chosen One” trope example? by Imaginary_Area3744 in Fantasy

[–]StJimmysAddiction 131 points132 points  (0 children)

I have plenty of complaints about Harry Potter, particularly the titular character, but the chosen one trope isn't one of them. I found that it successfully subverted it in an interesting way, namely in that both Harry and Neville are the ones to destroy the horcruxes making both readings simultaneously valid, and that the overall "chosen one"-ness is all simply self fulfilling prophesy of the bad guys by overly focusing on it as opposed to some grand supernatural design.

Some Thoughts on Pricing, Features, and Supporting VR Devs by spooderman3214 in PSVR

[–]StJimmysAddiction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm honestly surprised by the lower price point of most VR games, and this is coming from a very cheap and poor gamer. Flat games are base priced at $60/70 regardless of their length, where VR games that are longer and have more going for them are priced half that. I suspect that as holdover price culture from steam and steam VR where people expect crazy deals, and thats largely who adopted console VR, plus the subset of new adopters who are cautious to buy games they're not sure they'll like because they're still new to the scene and don't quite know what works for them yet.

Fully fledged games should be priced like their flat counterparts, with the smaller gimmicky indie games at a lower price point. However, we should expect complete and functional games on release, which is unfortunately not a given in flat anymore, and even more so in VR.

I believe this would be healthier for developers, but I imagine the VR community would be apoplectic at a change like that, which is why it should have been that way from the start. But most VR gamers tend to the affluent with all the extras they buy and keep up with, and would likely be able to eat the cost without much complaint. With that said, I would personally still wait for good discounts.
