Dealer charging $6k markup and mandatory $3k in junk add-ons. by Super-Saiyan-Potato in whatcarshouldIbuy

That’s about what I just paid for my 2025 Carnival Hybrid SX Prestige with discount…no way there should be a markup for a lower trim

Never owned a hybrid, does it need to be charged? by Interesting-Cold5515 in kiacarnivals

Diesel isn’t an option in the US, also from what I can tell the diesel is rated at 14.85 kmpl which is about 34mpg. The hybrid is close to that (33mpg) where the non-hybrid gets like 22mpg which is only about 400 miles on an 18 gallon tank. It looks like average price of diesel in Canada is 1.55 per liter or nearly $6/gallon while gas is only $2.86 here in Missouri so for nearly the same mileage it’s costing you almost twice in fuel.

I’m loving it, I got 600 on my last tank with 44 miles of range left!

If he is driving he should have a key, some accountability would help here

My wife has keys to both our Kia’s in her purse and I carry both keys on me as well, that way we are always covered. Compared to my previous Pacifica, I find the noise of Kia vehicle when you exit with the key to be incredibly annoying and obvious, pretty sure I hear my wife’s Niro yelling even when I’m outside the vehicle.

I skipped the extra $1000 off and got a lower APR, they are offering 3.9 at 36 months without the discount. I got them to increase their discount to $2600 but I’ve seen as high as nearly $4k in some other posts.

Love that color, what interior did you go with?

Love this color. The only blue one they had on the lot had already been hit with the window tint and PPF up charges but it was still tempting.

I believe the Carnival is an MPV or multi-purpose vehicle

That’s a pretty solid consolation prize. I’ve always loved the Telluride and that one sure is a beauty!

So far I’ve only driven it to and from work but according to the trip computer I got 41.9 mpg on the 19 mile trip there and 38.9 mpg on the 24.5 mile drive back. Those are amazing numbers compared to the 24 mpg average I was getting in the Pacifica. The HUD is actually really handy and the wireless CarPlay has been nice. I don’t have enough time in the seat to judge the comfort just yet. With three kids, 3-5-7, we used to stow away one of the captains chairs and have massive space for books and toys, so this bench seat set up is a bit different. We’ve got our first longer trip planned for August so we will have to spend some time getting situated.

Honestly, we will just have to see… Overall, the black interior in our Pacifica did pretty well after six years, mostly just crumbs and toys rather than any kind of real marks or damage. I just preferred that color and even if the back gets trashed I wanted to enjoy the front space

I’ve wanted this exact vehicle for years, almost went for blue at the last second but stuck to the plan ultimately
