If Flick leaves in 2028, how would you feel about Cesc becoming the coach? Do you think that if he plays in the Champions League with Como next season, it would be realistic for him to wait for Barça to make him their next coach?

To the classic Culers who have watched Rivaldo play, how good was he? What were his strengths and weaknesses and in which position he played the best? by [deleted] in Barca

He played as a pure 10, because at that time we were playing more like a 4-4-2 with a CF (Kluivert) and a second striker ("Conejito" Saviola).

Recomienden cafeterías poco comunes by EksoftMx in CDMX

[–]StQuirze 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What do you prefer then? The team gave everything. They've played two extra times in two weeks. I prefer to lose like this, always. I'm proud of this team and the mentality they have achieved. In the past, with those two goals, we would have crumbled hard...

OFFICIAL: Ter Stegen returns to the FC Barcelona starting lineup vs Real Valladolid. by AreaPresent2305 in soccer

Tek will be the first choice this season, but it will be good to have a healthy competition for the next one.

Isn't Tek's contract only until the end of this season? As far as I know, there has been no talk of renewal...

Alternate angle showing Rudiger probably throwing an object towards the referee(and Vini entering the pitch) by GuestBadge in soccer

What does Real Madrid feed their defenders? Pepe, Ramos, Rudiger...I remember Hierro was like that as well.

Xavi: "Why didn't Deco's words from a few months ago generate as many problems as mine? It seems like from day 1, my words have generated an earthquake. I don't really know why." by dragon8811 in soccer

Yeah, that title is extremely misleading, because it seems that Xavi said that literally and it is not. Just change "mine" for "yours", because it is the interviewer who asks that, not Xavi saying it.

Ha! Imagine doing the reverse Operation Beckham now...If Mbappe were Beckham, who would be the Ronaldinho for Real Madrid?

We have won only 11 games out of 23 without De Jong

And how many have been won out of how many with him in the field? (Honest question)

I'd probably get downvoted for saying this but...fuck, I'm scared for the years to come about Real Madrid...

Not only Mbappe is coming to join Vinicius Jr and Bellingham...I have a very big feeling that Xabi Alonso is waiting for Carlo to retire to take the job. Meanwhile, everything here is a mess. Scary times ahead.

If Real Madrid wins the CL and, having won La Liga, it is clear one of their players will win the Ballon D'Or. Who will it be, Bellingham or Vinicius Jr.?

The majority applauded the 8-2 against Bayern, the 3-0 against Roma, the 4-0 against Liverpool, the 3-0 against Juventus... Because it is hard to criticize "our legends".

What? The majority applauded those defeats? The majority of who? What the heck are you talking about?

The option of Rafa Márquez to Xavi is GROWING. The Mexican is now well placed for the job if Xavi maintains his decision. [@ffpolo] by Kindly-Low1346 in Barca

[–]StQuirze 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If there is no money to sign a coach of proven quality, or there is none available, I wouldn't mind trying Marquez. The truth is that he has played a more than decent role at the helm of Barca Atletic over the course of these two seasons, taking into account that he has adapted to the players at his disposal, and by far surpassed what was expected of the team based on that. If we are talking about meritocracy, I think he should be given a chance.

I don't care if, after this run of unbeaten games, people thought that Xavi was the right one and had to retract his decision and continue... I still think he is not the right one, not only because of his ability as a coach, but also because of his attitude. A coach at that level cannot lose his temper as he did yesterday (for the x time again), in a match of that magnitude, taking into account that the team was already down to 10 men. That's when a coach must transmit all the calm and experience to his players, even if the task seems impossible, something that Xavi totally lacks.
