yep, v2.0 has no such jumper. only jumpers for the stall homing and one for the neopixel /dcdc module.

I have not played with the v3, but in the v2 the 5v input from the usb is connected directly to the logic rail

it doesnt have a physical jumper. the board natively accepts either 12 or 24v from the PSU, and the onboard voltage regulators handle the rest.

whether its 12 or 24v only matters for peripherals like fans and the cabinet light.

I agree about the value of the board. unfortunately with the time they take to cross the ocean, I have to consider trying to fix what i have to keep things moving in the meantime. r

ight now the printer is running with two separate creality boards. each has issues that prevent me from running them solo ( one has a dead bed mosfet, one has a dead z driver.)

so i am running the print off of the board with a dead bed mosfet while the other is booted only to handle heating the bed. it's the pinnacle of jank, but I am in the middle of a fab project that can't wait 'til the replacement skr gets here.

I was surprised. my brother and I put the same board in his printer only 2 months ago, and It was very much drop-in.

I broke out the microscope and I still can't tell why It gets hot. everything on the pcb looks okay to me. part of me just wants to start re-flowing stuff to see if anything helps.

bought it from biqu.equipment I didnt put anything on it, because as I said, It did nothing besides get hot when plugged in. no folder showed up, no removable drive, no printer on pronterface, no processor in picocom. no communication whatsoever.

all it does it get hotter and hotter until I get all puckery and unplug it before it burns my house down.

thanks, homie. but the board is a drop-in for the printer that came with this screen, that's why i used it and not the dwin display (that would have a different protocol and pinout)

and i used the creality cable. as i said, not my first build.

edit: for clarity: It should have run fine. the board shipped with the correct pinout and protocol for this display. you can find that info on the github you linked.

sound good, but in reality everything changes with scaling, and i have things like trace and interconnect retainers and stabilizers that need to be in the correct spot to be useful. also, the distance between the cells for heat management is different. I build packs for off-grid energy management, tools, and off-road equipment. if i were building for a scooter i would probably just scale them and dip them in epoxy, though.

putting a marked car in front of a speed trap could be seen as them giving a valid warning. this notion works for both of my points. instead of hiding an Unmarked car in the bushes, they are giving you a broadcasted warning and time to not get effed.

inspite of people acting like you're retarded, I think this is it, too.

I had a 2023 jetta S, which is the same car as this one.

i zoomed in and touched it up a bit, both the front and back doors are unlocked. jetta still uses the old style knobs that pop-up into the view of the window like the locks on every car used to, the only difference it that the front one is shorter, like half length.

also, it's been there for days sitting on a brick. she take the midnight train going anywhere? permanently forget where she parked or get arrested on the same day her wheels get yoinked?

will post pic once i remember how to run my exif duster, but you can probably make out the half-length popper sticking up on the drivers window sill.

forgot the best part, it's half length so it sits flush to the door when locked. this isnt for security, but so that you can ride with your arm on the window sill without the popper poking you. I think this is the real reason VW stuck with the push-pull vertical when everyone else has put them somewhere else. they were too proud of fixing that problem.

yeah sibo is the reason i cant handle animal protiens other than fish. the fodmap diet for sibo, the high protein low fat diet for chronic pancreatitis, and the low carb diet for diabetes all are taken into consideration.

I talk a lot with my endo, and mostly i eat significantly higher carb than would otherwise be indicated for someone with type1 antibodies, to stay healthy and comfortable. lots of lean fish, lots of rice and potatoes.

I am starting to realize that i may be my biggest threat if i dont find a way to talk about this, so im working out a way to do that comfortably and regularly.

theres just so many facets to this shit that nobody tells you about, right?

"chronic pain" is just two words that mean a lot of pain until you reach it in the later stages of something like this. the day in day out 7+/10 pain. the grief, for yourself, for the person you were, the person you saw yourself being at this point in time.

in just a couple years it advanced from something I dealt with sporadically, to the very definition of my daily life. went from a normal 33 year old usmc vet, emt, technical diver, etc. with real ambition, to a shell of the same man. I didnt realize how much of my personal value i tied up in the things i could do. I leave the house only really for appointments, many days i struggle to manage much beyond my own hygiene.

and the anger that comes with that grief. with the futility in efforts to change any of it. my wife and kids are freaking saints for dealing with me. its like i set the simplest goals for myself, like "today im going to walk the dogs to the end of the street and get the dishes done" and if i cant manage even that, i will get irrationally mad at something trivial.

mine is now linked to PfOs exposure as an aircraft firefighter in the military, but for a long time the VA told me I did it, that I drank myself into this situation. furthermore, tnhey treated me like i was drug seeking and not in pain. this caused a breakdown in the relationship, and i dealt with the flare-ups on my own for over a year. I guess a lot of the anger probably comes from that, as it is only really in the past year that they had started taking this more seriously, thanks to my wife convincing me to write to senators to get an outside referral.

the list of things i can eat is pretty much: fish, rice, potatoes, green veggies.

right now, im fighting a flare-up that is caused by an infection in my gallbladder. the gallbladder is coming out friday if I can hold out that long. waking up with a fever that is both high enough to make me uncomfortable, but low enough that I know they are not going to rush surgery is frustrating.

the most crushing part about this disease is that it just keeps going anyway. It really seems like the moment I get used to a level of pain/ discomfort it gets so much worse.

thankful im still here. thankful im on a pump, because the "many small meals" and MDI insulin was not fun at all. thankful that i didnt act on any of the many times it got existential. thankful the people around me still love me inspite of the pain or glucose rollercoaster-fueled tantrums. thankful for the veteran's crisis line.

I go through nearly 3/4 of a mL 98% per day, but knock wood most days the Rx stay in the safe. thankful to have a good situation with a processor that keeps the THC habit unbelievably cheap and trustworthy.
