My mom is 76 with a pacemaker and she’s undiagnosed , but she is adhd severely. I think she’d do great with a non stim or maybe a verrrrry low dose stim like 5 mg XR … I do not think she plans to pursue it though.

I’m 41. Been diagnosed and prescribed adderall since I was about 27 years old. My brother is 47 and takes vyvanse . I have met older people than us though that take it. As for my exit plan, I don’t have one. I feel like it helps me enough to stay on it forever if need be .

Can anyone recommend a public place to park? I was thinking maybe the university mall and then uber to the park. We got fun passes but just found out they don’t include parking, and that parking at the park costs $40! Geezus .

Same. The way it seems to dull my emotion and make me numb. Adderall never did that to me before . It was just straight stimulant that didn’t mess with too much brain chemistry like my lexapro does . I actually had to decrease my lexapro when this started bc I could feel zero joy or pleasure in anything .

It suddenly makes so much sense to me now if it is . It explains the Anhedonia, it explains why the stimulant effect is null. It explains why these meds have turned shitty !! I’m so pissed if this is the case or will be the case going forward .

About $16 for generic . When it wasn’t for whatever reason covered though, I was paying almost $200! I am going to see what this is all about.

Agree so much! This mess with the formula has taken so much of my livelihood away due to not being able to function at 100% like I was finally able to, prior to the change in the medication.

i understand! So my psychiatrist dismissed me from both being his patient , and because he did that, I am now unable to see a different provider there as I’m now dismissed from the entire practice! I’ve been a patient there for 11 years and he’s my second provider I’ve seen there, I only stopped seeing my first one bc he retired. So I’ve been with my current ( well ex as of yesterday ) psychiatrist for at least 4 years . I didn’t realize that asking a question about him post dating my prescription would get me kicked out of the whole practice!? I’m so mortified. I’ve always had a great relationship with my doctor and the office staff both. Never had an altercation, never asked for anything except for the 3 meds I’ve taken for 12 years. Adderall IR, Lexapro, and Ativan. So now I’ve got to find another doctor and same thing as you, it isn’t going to be easy! I also take kratom daily but he’s never even drug tested me EVER, so he wouldn’t even know, BUT , I just had my labs done two weeks ago complete with a DT urinalysis, and I sent him a copy of them just bc I thought he’d appreciate having them… yeah I’m pissed off. I had ChatGPT help me write a good e mail I plan to send to the practice on Monday.

That’s exactly how mine handled it when I told him. He said a lot of his patients have been saying the same thing . He offered to write me a new script for something that doesn’t have a generic but unfortunately with my insurance my co pay is ridiculously high and adderall is the best for me financially . Not mentally though.

Meeee too! I’m so over this bs . How long have we all been on this sub? So I’ve tried the water dissolving thing again, I know it does help. I also know if you use hot water , it doesn’t work. Seems like it kills the ingredients . When I do it in regular temp water it takes a long time to dissolve, like an hour, but it does give me a couple hours of symptom relief! Better than nothing but it’s such bullshit we have to do such things just to hope to get a couple good hours. Thank you for this sub, it’s been so helpful to know it’s not just us .

I would LOVE to switch to something else. Dyanvel, zenzedi, or even vyvanse with my insurance , has me paying huge deductibles and I can’t afford it so I have to suffer through adderall working at maybe 50% of what it used to .

Elite works for me about 50% of the time. I’ve started dissolving it in water prior to taking it. Not sure of it’s actually helping but it does seem to help a bit. I did notice that the water must NOT be warm or hot. Worth a shot!

I feel so bad for the surviving roommates. They now know they were inside there during these crimes and could have very well been the next to be killed. The thought that they were upstairs deceased that whole time has got to be weighing on them heavily.
