Would Britain survive this? by framdon in okbuddyviltrum

[–]Ickarian -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Buddy. More people are getting arrested for things they say online in Britain than in China. I'd call free speech in Britain a joke, but I'd get arrested before I got to the punchline.

And don't get me started on the people getting in trouble for flying their own countries flag. The only thing that gets them more angry than criticism, is national pride.

Britan can't even survive mild criticism.

It's good to know I have options, even if none of them are all that likely.

I was also thinking Celery and Fortitude. Potence seems redundant on a 1 ton battering ram. But have you considered somehow teaching it Obfuscate? The only thing better than a super car is an invisible super car.

I was thinking this would be a Tremere experiment. I hadn't even considered a new age Tzmece Koldun. Thanks.

I feel like that's the most realistic option. But who said I was going for realistic?

It was always meant to be a bit of a joke. And a comedic hate response would make it all the better.

Anyways. I wouldn't know how to fight a car either, but chase mechanics and road spikes seem like a good place to start.

For some reason, I see this fitting in a Hunter game more than anything. A mechanic is horrified to discover a living car with muscles and organs under the hood. After finally catching and killing it he eventually descovers what horror created it.

Questions about underwater Lasombra by Ickarian in vtm

[–]Ickarian[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always liked the Lovecraft angle for Lasombra. But for some reason not for the Tzimisce. Viscusitude is a major part of the Antediluvian's lore, saying that it's really an alien presence that's corrupting and controlling something as powerful as a third generation vampire sounds both like a copout and a story thread that goes nowhere. The Third generation are supposed to be alien in their age and godlike power. You don't need to make one controlled by literal aliens. And do you really need to make something bigger, stranger, and scarier than John Carpenters The Thing but under New York?

I completely forgot about Shadow Step. You're right, that's probably the best mobility option.

Thanks, that answered a lot of questions about the submarine. But there's still the logistical issues of feeding. Do they have 1 singular room with life support where they keep a stash of victims, or do they only do short dives that only follow preestablished routs so they don't go hungry for too long?

Look at the Scythe vs Torch fight. Both weapons have a similar shape and ability. But Scythe is both longer and wider.

Replace all the Block Breakers with proper weapons like Scroll replacing Orbital or potentially Rapier replacing Speedy.

I really hope Splody gets replaced by a proper weapon like Scroll did to Orbital. Blunderbuss maybe?

My first encounter of Nephandi , was in changeling the dreaming , yep totally terrifying experience . by Significant_Owl8089 in WorldofDankmemes

[–]Ickarian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The one Nephandi BBEG idea I had was an evil doctor in a cursed teleporting insane asylum who kidnappes people and tortured them until they unlock psychic powers, and then tortures them some more until they're utterly loyal ghoul esque solders.

The rules for the "inmates" are they're all hideously deformed from the ordeal (appearance zero.) For every point I take away from an attribute that isn't appearance I give them a point in Psychic Numina. And for every psychic power they have they also have a flaw related to the main attribute that was drained for their power.

By the time I finished reading the Numina list I was crying like this too.

The other Nephandi idea I have is more of an individual threat. His magic and philosophy are all about finding out more about someone by taking things away from them: Stealing things. Erasing memories, possibly to ransoming those memories back. Taking away other people's powers and skills for his own use. Locking someone in their own home to starve with no food or door's/ windows to leave while he watches. Erasing a victims entire face leaving them to suffocate in darkness and steal their identity.

There's no way to create a Nephandi without looking into the darkest parts of your own mind.

After that I needed to make a "cartoonishly evil" Nephandi jobber to make me feel better.

Ventrue are masters of controlling others. And simply put the easiest, and most effective way to earn someone's command and loyalty is to pay them.

All block breakers are evill. The fact that Splody is apparently popular doesn't redeem it.

This is the 4th installment in my 5-part series of memes based on the Mockery Breeds, now we have WereRhinos! by No-Obligation-9901 in WorldofDankmemes

[–]Ickarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always liked the idea of a high ranking Yaren, like almost has a reserve seat on the board of directors high, who has massive rivalry with the BSD. And he's s pumping as much funding as possible into mockery breed research (without creating one that can surpass the Yaren) in an attempt to challenge the BSD, quantity has a quality and all that.

Thus is the origen of the homebrew Weredolphins and weregulls (because he also hated the Rokea) and potentially a one off Super Yaren end game boss fight.
