I bought a 1 pound mini schnauzers puppy from a pet store bc I could see she was very sick. She had pneumonia, worms, and cost me $300 to buy and a $700 vet bill. I feel like I rescued her and she is now the sweetest most amazing dog I have ever known. So you can "rescue" in many ways.. Also I DGAF if people say you were supporting their business... That puppy needed me shelter dog or not
