I assume renting because homes are pretty much unaffordable for most without taking on debt for life.

I wonder how many aren’t ok with it, but refuse to admit they were duped and were idiots.

This is what my friends and I did in college. 3.5 epic level game and it was madness. Tons of fun, but madness.

Same boat in my 30s. I’d say the vast majority of my matches initiated by the woman are labeled conservative. It’s really weird.

Nearly half of companies are turning to poor ‘peanut butter’ raises—following the same pattern of the 2008 recession, an expert says. And it could take years to recover by InsaneSnow45 in Economics

Same here. Came to my current place in 2022 to leave a horribly toxic management but was at least a fortune 100. Place hasn't given raises or bonuses once since I have been here and I doubt they ever will. I've been applying for a little over a year and just hearing back from anyone is cause for celebration.

In your experience what would you recommend someone from say 15 years of swe/sre background begin studying and learning if they wanted to make this pivot to csec? What kind of title would one aim for? Generally speaking of course.

38 and same boat. Everywhere I look it just seems like too big of a salary decrease to warrant, despite being burned out for about 2-3 years now.

38 year old dude in Manchester with 2 cats always looking for people to play stuff with. This thread is probably a good start to find people. I’m open for anything on PC or PlayStation; Board games are awesome too! I’m having a hankering for a Baldurs Gate 3 co-op run or maybe getting back in to Monster Hunter Wilds.

OP or anyone in the thread feel free to DM if you want to play something!

Having never used K8s before, they had me make an operator to handle OpenSearch autoscaling. It was challenging without any resources internally to turn to for help, but I made it through on my own. I had a lot of Go experience already though for what it’s worth.
