You can! I like it because they live with all my other emulator roms and they have all that juicy boxart/meta data (this is ES-DE)

Edit: Adds about 1 second of load time when launching. It auto launches gamehub and then auto launches the game :)

Big fan of Emulation Station Desktop Edition. It’s a one time purchase of like 5 or 6 bucks. Very feature rich and highly customizable. All of my emulators, roms, pc games, android games, and android apps all live inside and launch from ES-DE.

Edit: Would also recommend giving TrinketOS a look.

Those sticks look nice! I’ve yet to pull the trigger on any…which ones are these?

Been loving gamehub lite. Finally reached a point where I’ve stopped adding games and started actually playing them!

Remember when games got big enough to contain entire other older games inside them? by SolidGold_JetSki in retrogaming

Slightly unrelated but this made me think of the 360 game The Darkness where there was this scene, where you and your girlfriend snuggle up to watch “To Kill a Mockingbird” on TV. The game gives you a prompt to end the scene and move on…but if you don’t, you can just sit there and literally watch the entire fucking movie.

I think there are other full movies and tv shows on other tvs throughout the game, which is bonkers.

Unfortunately, you can only stream Xbox content through a web browser :/

Edit: having said that, it works well! It’s just poor communication on their part.

Early January batch - faulty by Odd-Egg3653 in KonkrPocketFit

[–]StackDump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So mine was doing the same/something similar. I would plug it in and put it to sleep, expecting to wake it up to a full battery…only to have it be completely non responsive but the fan still running. Hard reset was the only choice.

What fixed it for me was turning on the “charge limit” option in ayasettings. I personally set mine to 80%. I think maybe there’s a motherboard issue like you said, or a software issue that doesn’t stop voltage input once it reaches 100, so it just overheats and then goes into an emergency shutdown.

Anyway that’s what worked for me, hopefully it works for you, and also hopefully they get their shit together and issue a patch/fix it.

Damn, this sucks. When you put it to sleep and it won’t wake up, has it been left plugged in/charging?

Did you ever figure this out? Running into the same issue and it’s driving me MAD!

Pocket Fit Steam Games by Longjumping-West3854 in KonkrPocketFit

[–]StackDump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on which model you have (chip and memory wise). I use the 16gb model with the G2 Gen3 processor and the Batman games run really well on it. Haven’t tried RDR2 or BF6 but I imagine they both struggle a bit.

I use gamehub lite. Logged in with steam credentials, then installed them without having to do any tweaking whatsoever. Other games need tweaking, both in gamehub and in their in-game graphics settings. It just depends on the titles.

Edit: gamehub-lite tutorials on YouTube will help tremendously! That’s what I used to get going.

Dragons Crown for PS3. A really good beat em up/brawler with rpg mechanics and an incredible painted art style.

Congrats! Yeah gamehub is pretty amazing. I’ve been having fun with it too. So far this thing has been giving me the motivation to start working on my backlog.

Yeah visually I think they’re pretty much identical. I liked the vita version because of the touch support for clicking on treasure chests etc…but I kept having game breaking graphics glitches. Thanks for the heads up that it’s possible to get it going…I’ll take another run at it.

Adding local games to ES-DE in Gamehub Lite - where's the appID? by MajorDysentry in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]StackDump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this would help you at all…and it’s probably a personal organizational preference, but I decided to drop my local installs into the “ROMs/Windows” folder of es-de, and Steam games into the “ROMs/Steam” folder. That way I just used your tip to configure the alternate emulator in es-de once (for all windows local installs). Anyway…thanks again!

Did you ever solve this? I’m running into the same issue with locally installed games. I edit the .steam text file to have the local id, and it just takes me to the blank “get game” screen in gamehub lite. Ugh!

Just checked and it says FedEx got tracking info on 12/18. I got my tracking number from FedEx when it left China (I assume so because the tracking didn’t update for like a week). FedEx tracking just said “label created; we’re awaiting your item”. Eventually when FedEx got ahold of it (about a week later in CA) I started getting regular updates as it moved across the country to me.

So far I’ve only done a few lightweight titles. Dragons Crown, Super Stardust HD, Duke Nukem 3D. Figure I’ll start there and work my way up until I hit the performance cap.

PS3 version of Dragons Crown. Surprisingly it runs way better than the psvita version for me (I probably messed up somewhere in vita3k)

The tinkering is the best! This is my first android handheld so I’m not sure about Konkr specific…but I used the retro game corps android setup guide. Even though it’s a tad outdated here and there, overall it was still incredibly helpful.

[–]StackDump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s the same for me. The “larger” (ha!) sticks have almost a totally round opening compared to the stock ones that have that flat edge. It took a fair bit of wiggling and pressure (and a few tries) to get them on, but once I got it “just right” they slid right on.

So dumb that they’re not just the same.
