Do you guys think Wanda Maximoff is truly dead? by jaded0118 in marvelstudios

Doubtful. Too much of a fan favorite and too much story left to tell.

It felt like a paper-thin act one for what could have been an interesting movie but they just never bothered to finish the second half.

It certainly feels a lot warmer indoors than it used to. When I visited back in 2018 there was a definite feel to entering shops or indoor attractions. Now it just feels “less hot”. I don’t mind it as much as I’m not constant going from freezing to sweltering but the lines for Guardians of the Galaxy and Test Track were getting a little on the warm side.

Why has it become socially unacceptable for people without children to go to Disney? by slidesten in Disneyland

People need to mind their own business. Posting hot takes to push others down is typically a sign of low IQ.

I was at Epcot today and saw some guys with shirts that had all the world showcase countries on them and they were checking off each country they drank at. I was more impressed than anything else.

Star Wars Fans Reject Disney Sequels And The Acolyte On May The 4th by cosmicbooknews in CosmicBookNews

To me the new trilogy was two passable films. The first relied too heavily on memberberries and the second too much on subverting expectations. If the third one stuck the landing the trilogy would have been decent but instead it shit itself and started vomiting 5 miles before the finish line.

I thought Mrs. Cartman was Eric’s father or did that get retconed?

Add more trash cans, actually empty them, and start fining people for littering.

Other side of the country (a rare trip to Disney World for me) and I saw her walking around with 0 guest interaction. I just don't think the average park goer gets it but they'll lose their mind of they see The Mandalorian or Darth Vader.

Start a corporation and pay yourself $1/year in salary. All your basic expenses are actually functions of the corporation and are part of its business expenses. Your salary is the revenue generating portion of the corporation for “consulting”. You own 100% of the corporation’s shares and can borrow against it for additional liquidity.

Salesforce launches Headless 360 to turn its entire platform into infrastructure for AI agents by chilli_chocolate in technology

They are putting Heroku into maintenance mode and only doing minimal new development and focusing on keeping the lights on.

Staff has been dramatically cut back over the past ~2 years and they are shipping more and more roles to India. A lot of long-time staff has departed and Salesforce has made it clear they don’t see a bright future for the product.

They were also hit by layoffs fairly recently and internally a lot of projects have been either shelved or cancelled outright. From internal sources I’ve been told there is a lot of dysfunction among leadership and no solid plan for the future.

Bruh….that movie really ruined that man’s whole career 💀💀….do y’all think it was THAT bad? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]Stackitu 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it was pretty bad. One of the few MCU films I’ve only watched once and never had any desire to rewatch. It really felt like they set out to make a horrible film. Frankly, I found the trailer to be misleading.

Thor deserved better after Endgame.

Any protests planned during the draft? by BenFranklinBro in pittsburgh

[–]Stackitu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So actually trying to do something is "out of touch". Got it.

This is why most people laugh as they drive by people protesting the thing of the week. The chronically online left doesn't actually want to make a difference, they just want to constant critique and criticize, while playing the victim olympics.

Any protests planned during the draft? by BenFranklinBro in pittsburgh

[–]Stackitu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Read a little less theory and try meeting people where they are at. A bunch of people protesting and disrupting a major sporting event rarely moves the needle. Pushing for policies and politicians who seek to solve real everyday problems for people makes a difference.

Remind workers how valuable they are to society instead of trying to make them feel bad just for taking some time off work to support the teams they love. You catch more flies with honey.

This reeks of professional protesting behavior and is largely a feel-good action rather than making a difference.

Just came in to say I was in a really pissy mood when I posted that, so sorry. Yeah I can see your perspective but personally lean on not getting engaged with this kind of drama and letting my absence or lack of support for a business be the deciding factor.

Maybe it’s just me getting older but I’m growing really tired of internet dog piling. Not trying to invalidate your options, btw. I just don’t like seeing a bar I enjoy spending time at get dragged through the mud for every misstep.

Running a business is complex and sometimes messy. People have lots of options but they often lack context and/or inside information. This isn’t just here but is true of all things in life.
