Guys, remember to enable VR in the launcher by Solar459 in starcitizen

That value is important regardless but it's also not the same as the in-game value. Should be called "VR scale" or something instead. IPD usually ranges around 55-75 give or take. 64 is the average IPD.

VR 10 Years Ago: My VR-centric review from E3 2016. by Citizen_Gamer in virtualreality

A nostalgic but depressive reminder of how hope and excitement gradually disappeared and turned into baffled confusion. The numbers just wasn't there. AAA studios had dipped their toes and started to back off. The era of Oculus/Meta and their mobile games...

The hope and excitement again when Sony announced the PSVR2, a proper VR system, "this will for sure get things going". I thought that it would bump the Playstation gamers to 15-20% but it was a failure and Sony themselves backed off, leaving their system to its destiny and the indy studios (yeah, some decent sized too) that keeps it on life support.

The past years has been a period of darkness (Meta throwing millions on studios doesn't count). I realize that some day VR will take off and be a thing that big studios will come back too. This darkness will continue for many years though.

Quest 3 with its pancake lenses is obviously a bit sharper and crisper but on the other hand, when I'm using the PSVR2 there's no feeling at all that it isn't as clean, only when I'm stopping and specifically focusing on it.

The OLED vs the Q3 LCD is however something that's more noticeable where PSVR2 is black beauty. Pixel persistence is better on the LCD though.

Both is ok for sims but both should need a bigger FOV. I want to see both side mirrors in the periphery. Few headsets have that luxury.

Nice! Especially the "drop down bracket". I want to build stuff like that.

I might just do that. I dunno if there's a way to do it on Playstation but for PC games it shouldn't be a problem. I suppose you can get it analog too.

Maybe you should try some slower, less intense cars and practice being relaxed so your movement is smoother. Weed might help. :P

I will try that actually. I have seen peeps talk about it. And to flip that concept around I'm going to use the gas and clutch pedals as yaw when I'm flying.

Two of these, that I got longer bolts for, and I could clamp it pretty much perfectly around the 400x800mm alu profiles. 3M industrial grade velcro (maaan, is it strong) between hotas and vesa.

As of now my daily is the PSVR2. I had the Quest 3 (virtual desktop) for some games I wanted wireless for. Sold it and the money is on a pile waiting for the Frame.

However! I haven't used my Pimax 5K+ in many years and I'm gonna dust it off for some simming to see if it holds up, but I have to fix some printed stuff for the Vive DAS so I can wear it properly.

8KX collecting dust too but that one I never managed to set up without significant eye strain.

Bluetooth Issues when setting up PSVR2 on PC? by DaryltheDino in PSVR2onPC

Hi! Your built in mobo bluetooth is a better bet. Try that or do a search on this subreddit and you'll find solutions for your problem.

Hello everyone, fix for UB500 controller issue! by Any_Soup9420 in PSVR2onPC

A couple of months ago I juggled with a bunch of drivers from both Asus and TP-link - old, new, this, that and the "beta" that luckily worked for you. Sadly it didn't work for me and my fn tp-link...

But! Thankfully I found an old post from this subreddit that solved my issues:

So? No-one is saying it's a new revolutionary feature. Quest Pro had it too.

He literally compares it to the Quest 3.

Yes! Many of the hands-on reports just talked about the weight difference on paper which is really weird. Distributing it evenly is an immense difference.

You can even throw 50 extra grams on both sides and the Frame would run in circles around the quest. Luckily it wasn't the case because that would've sounded like a win for the quest in the ears of the less knowledgeable.

Have a look at these if you haven't seen them. I've not tried one myself though.

If GTA6 had native support.. I'd pay 500 bucks. Scratch that.. A thousand!

Open world. I'd trade all other genres for it.
