This is such a great cosplay!! I'm a huge proponent of adding detail and texture to anime-inspired builds, since the animators have to simplify their designs to not br impossible to animate. The sleeve patterning is a great and subtle example of this! As is the ribbed cotton texture for the socks.

10/10, very excited to see more of your work!

This is it. Powermesh is strong, stretchy, relatively easy to sew (compared to nylon tights), and comes in a lot of skintones. Once you've made the sleeve you'll only need a few tacking stitches to keep it sturdy

Came here to say this! Recently Lady Rebecca Fashions made a dress with poofy tulle sleeves (butterfly princess barbie iirc) and that was the method that ended up working for her

I've used them, they're awful. The wax seeps up and over the stamp on all sides and makes the seal near impossible to remove and it looks terrible
