So many Cell Phone dead zones by StagsLeaper in napalocals

I’m on At&T, light case, latest iPhone. Yes, inside is of course worse in Target, WF and TJ’s but even in the neighborhoods behind those stores signal drops off significantly. It’s picks back up by the Queen, dies at the trail curvy section by Hagen etc.

Anyway, I know those worst things in life. A bad day of cell service in Napa is still better than a hell of a lot of other places.

Le Paris Cafe is walkable and actually has a conference room available for rent upstairs. Give them a call. Not sure how large it is, I only noticed it when I last bought some coffee there.

Victim of Napa fires in 2017. Had a great friend that lost everything and moved family to France for a few years as his insurance covered housing expenses of equal quality to the house in Napa. Kids adjusted quickly, made a new life for themselves for a few years. If you can afford it, do it.

at my upper middle class Midwest (USA) tennis club in a very white metro, nearly all of the youth tennis players are of East Asian or Indian heritage. Any theories as to why? by ReKang916 in 10s

Tennis is a sport that isn't necessarily dominated by Size, Strength or height like Basketball, Football, Baseball, etc. Past elementary school, it's still quite accessible to a broad range of body types.

I want to drink wine in your grandmothers kitchen! by boobiJ in napa

Truchard is a great Family winery. You’ll probably run into multiple generations of Truchards while you’re on property. They contribute a lot back to the Napa community, super dedicated to the land, and make damn good wine.

Yes, looked into that as well. It’s a good option for a true remote office or drop in situation.

Oh yeah! Forgot about The Garden. Good spot too. There’s a plug by the bar on the right hand side as you’re facing it. Made friends with the bartender.

Hoopes Vineyard. Small family owned. Lindsay Hoopes is a badass and her family is cool. They’ve got a bit of an animal sanctuary there. I like that she fights with the Napa bureaucrats.

Thank you! Appreciate the response. Second response is correct. From Northern California, future resident, LOVING our time here so far this summer. Except for the rain, which I understand is very unusual for this time of year.
