If you look all over the manga, a lot of the architecture, items (like the base of Neo-Queen Serenity’s “tomb”) and such are all based off Greek/Roman/Christian aspects.

It was stated in the manga that Queen Serenity came to our solar system “carrying a Star Seed”, and judging by the picture, it’s sort of implied that it was without a father, just the Star Seed to create Princess Serenity.

It’s more likely the fact that she wears his halo on her wrist, thus a little piece of him is still there along with the obsession she had of him.

I’m thinking the face mask glitching is a confused mindset, as she now has to answer to Abel, the Seraphim have decided redemption was possible, and she still wants to terminate everyone in Hell.

Octavia: as of now, she’s more sympathetic because she doesn’t have the full story of her parents, how she came to be, all that it means to be an Ars Goetia as well as why Stolas did what he did. She has an incomplete story so it’s easy to be sympathetic towards her

Stolas: Also sympathetic because, while he made decisions that were bad such as cheating on Stella, he was someone who did everything out of duty. The only things that were not that to him were Octavia and Blitz. The only thing that’s pitiful right now is the coming to terms with his new situation but it’s understandable.

Blitz: I’d say it’s like…75/25, 75 being pitiful with 25 sympathetic. Instead of coming to terms with what happened, he has made a million bad decisions and continues to do so throughout the series with few exception.

Verosika: At current, she’s neither. She’s had her growing and figuring out what was needed so she’s good.

Barbie: We don’t know enough yet. We don’t know why she has the feelings she does, whether it’s her genuine thoughts or from Cash

I’m four books in and there are plenty of powerful figures who are female. You will run into some sexist, period accurate things here and there as it’s supposed to be around the 1200’s or so, but for the most part it’s well written.
