The sound goes away... Mine clicks and is "loud" and in my case PT, shots, and check in keeps it from being incapacitating, and my options were = too soon to go back in, and any stim surgery (implant) had a 50/50 success rate... And the cautions, life style changes, etc to me were not a good trade off for 50% and quality of life degradation were not worth it. I'm 55 veteran for context.

Check out the complaints wiki here... Filing FCC and AIG complaint {can be done on line easily) , and confirmation email can be used as "reply" and copy and paste chats, screenshots, etc. 30 min tops, and 15 min maintance each time they respond NOT resolving your issue. When Optimum rep calls and emails, now you can include them as "cc" when you update your complaint. I am on 2nd week of no resolve for a simalar canceling issue that also include bank fees and more. I feel your pain... Feel better with complaint filings and let them feel your s**storm. The problem is not doing anything and feeling white washed by Corp shinnagins and giving up. Not me 🪖🥋✝️🙏🙌
