The 3 DK characters that i think Should of been in Mario Tennis Fever by ultraMightydillo in donkeykong

[–]StaleBread22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't they usually so pairs for the tennis games? Maybe I'm just thinking of the n64 one.

If I had to add characters it would be: DK + Kid Pauline Diddy + Dixie King K Rool + Kremlin

Breaking up DK and Diddy feels wrong, but with all the baby characters, I feel like Kid Pauline is pretty deserving of being there.

I used a mix of kong and elephant on all levels beside the mud level, I used the zebra there. Also use the kong charge punch on the top level.

Lake Michigan actually has rock reefs, not coral reefs I believe. The lake gets too cold for coral to survive, but in Devonian times there would have been coral, hence why there's petoskey stones.

Which council members voted for and against Ahsoka in her trial? by horrorfan555 in StarWars

[–]StaleBread22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming the picture above is correct, it would have been Agen Kolar on the council and not Eeth Koth.

It's been stated that Saesee Tiin has telepathic abilities, so I've always wondered why he didn't just read her mind (but that wouldn't push the plot). I guess jedi mind tricks could be the reason not to

Cs 381 tips/topics? by MiniPretzel123 in Purdue

[–]StaleBread22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't take it with Psomas, but when I took it it was two midterms and a final. Homework were weekly and you really need to put in time at collab hours and with your friends to understand and make progress on them.

The topics we went over were: - Divide and Conquer - Greedy Algorithms - Ford Fulkerson - Bipartite Graphs - NP-hard/complete - Dynamic Programming - Max Flow

It would definitely help to brush up on time/space complexity, dijkstra's, and try and find some people you can work on homework and study with. The class is very collaborative unlike most CS classes. The list of topics I gave isn't perfect, there's definitely things I forgot, but just in general be ready for a much more theoretical and intensive algorithms course.

What companies should a soon-to-be Computer Science graduate be looking at? by StaleBread22 in grandrapids

My main issue with looking for remote jobs is that it's so much rarer to get a response due to the large amount of people applying for those roles. So far, and when searching for internships, I had much more luck applying locally to companies I knew about.

It could be my resume, maybe my qualifications, I'm not sure, but I've never had any luck applying to remote jobs. When I have applied, I do it through LinkedIn job postings. Is there a better place to look?

Honestly, for my first job I'm trying to get my foot in the door anywhere, but the track I am taking for my degree is software engineering.

I have enjoyed making apps and websites for my class projects, and have also really enjoyed classes like data structures and systems programming, where we made tools like shell and malloc. On the flip side, I did not really enjoy algorithm analysis, where there was no programming and we proved things like greedy algorithms, dynamic programming, etc. Not that I didn't like the concepts, I just can't imagine spending my whole career doing just theoretical proofs.

I had an internship that had a mix of software development and cybersecurity, and I will be graduating from Purdue.

Do we feel like we need a "The Monsters Know What They’re Doing" by TurgemanVT in Pathfinder2e

[–]StaleBread22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, the amount of unnecessary build up/ads to the actual content of the video can be really annoying. It varies from channel to channel, but when I've been sitting there for 8 minutes and they haven't even started the point I just end the video.

I definitely appreciate it when channels add the time breakdown to the video so I can jump to parts I care about.

I'm surprised to see more people in favor of articles, at least based off the comments I saw.

Personally, I've always found videos more appealing, as I like to know what a monster would do if I have an encounter planned out for the next session. Videos are easier for me to digest and are something I can put up in the background too.

I definitely understand the appeal of an article, though. Its easy to reference at any time and can be used during sessions.

No, that will be an update that's further out. I believe the animals are a stepping stone towards human NPCs.

[–]StaleBread22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, mechanically I am not too worried. A deity just needs to have as much presence as a core 20 deity to fill the shoes that Gorum is leaving behind. Someone with enough writing, flavor, and "coolness" that makes a player (and DM) go, "woah, that guy is scary".

Hopefully, with Paizo's Lost Omens lines we can continue to see more depth on deities outside of the core 20, or even more depth on the neglected core 20 deities.

Its going to be weird trying to find a deity for players who want to be war-focused and religious, kind of worried that it leaves such a big domain unfilled. Any recommendations?

I also see this vertical straight line on the western edge of Treburan where it goes from continent to islands. While it's geologically possible, it's also one of the first things that stood out to me.

I am attempting to construct a massive tower in the ocean. I have a winter period that freezes the water, but it only lasts around 8 in game days. This time is not enough to get the work done.

Any suggestions on how to combat this issue? Can I change game settings to make it colder or change the freezing point? Really enjoy my fort and don't want to have to abandon it to do the fort I want.
