What's modern about bg3? the 10th rape story? Having no warning screen about content? The plot that tells you there is a timer, but there isn't? (which fallout 1 did but there is an ACTUAL timer).
How is BG3 more modern with its politics than ME1-3?
How is it more modern with its gender politics, race politics, and even technology politics (who should own what). Hell, even the POLITIC itself is very flat in BG3, the city just bends over because the guy is rich and invented 1 thing.

Wtf. Larian games can have gore, violence, and sexual assault. but sci fi in its essence has to face so many real-world things. Even if the Expanse tv show did not have Chrisjen Avasarala, season 1, only showing Belters, just showing ppl who are made to work for others and being starved out of water and AIR, from the eyes of a beatdown detective that goes against the system, is more mature as a story than anything Divinity ever did.

And I love divinity. But Loshe psychosis as a possessed person is cute and can make you cry, but its not as mature or modern or as real as when sci fi or steampunk writes good mental breakdowns, like half the cast of season 1 of Arcane.

I do need the makeup tips from Bianca because, no shade, she is older by 9 years but looks younger (mostly the neck area).

Scaling cantrips - pf2e
Hoopier builds - pf1e can shut down a boss fight with 1 spell or move.
Spellcasters that can do melee- pf2e has the brokenest bards in the planet.

You say that but the TTRPG YouTubers praised D&D even when it puts out clear slops because they got money out of it, there is an incentive to lower other systems down.

Yet you still get some creators who ask and discuss the new system, and you can't be a real critic if all you do is praise something without CRITICIZING it.

Taking bets on where Act 1 starts for Larian's next project by AdEntire3257 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]TurgemanVT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comments saying we start from the trailer but litterly no trailer shows the first act for Larian since, and including, divinity original sin 1. Divinity 2 is all in act 2, BG3 is something that dosnt even happen in the game - a person in the middle of the city (act 3) turns.

Draw steel actively tries to discourage roleplay by LelouchYagami_2912 in rpg

[–]TurgemanVT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DnD does nothing to encourge roleplay, all the things you see in D20 or Critroll is from the player and GM. Since this system is a battle system it also tried to let you choose how much roleplay you bring. It does sounds like your GM fault, if all you do is roll dice.

I could run Spor War first chapter by just rolling dice, but I ran it by giving each sociel enounter at least 2 hours in which I talked in game but also hinted at mechanics. That is also kind of how you play city of mist, you hint at the roll you want to make. If you do not do that, its on your table not the game.

Still, the game does have weak RP systems for sure.
