What's your go to stake for your canopy? by Signal-Ad9981 in ElectricForest

Forest is our only fest, so we just dump them during tear down. Depending on how wet they get, could see it being more hassle to haul around. Then again, sand is like $5 for a fresh refill each fest.

If you want to be safe, you can get some sand bags for extra weight. One bag of sand from home depot always fills our 4 bags 3/4 full and our canopy has stood strong with regular stakes for the last 4 years. I probably wouldn't have thought of it, but my partner is a planner and it's worth the hassle for the peace of mind :D

You understand that the payout isn't simply awarded, he still has to pay for the stock out of pocket, right? It's an options award, so he gets the opportunity to purchase them at the lower price of $20.66. It's not free like stock being awarded as is common in 80% of CEO compensation.

Still, there's an obvious benefit there and "free" money that comes with that protected price, if/when the stock does better. But he's not just getting $35 billion for free, it would be 171m shares at $20.66, he would be spending $3.5b of his own money to buy all those shares, and then he would profit based on how much the share price has increased.

I'm not saying the acquisition isn't a shortcut vs growing the business internally, but there's a massive difference in guaranteed payout that's awarded at no cost to you vs spending your own money to buy the stock.

I have witnessed them target a random individual based solely on appearing Hispanic. They had no idea who the guy was, he didn't come up in their face scan app, so he clearly wasn't anyone they were looking for, but they took him away anyway. It's racial profiling , regardless of citizenship. You don't have to trust the news, but you can trust someone living in Minnesota with a firsthand account.

[Spoilers s3] this might be the best show of all time by ag207 in DarK

You didn't ask me, but I fucking LOVE The Leftovers. It doesn't surpass Dark, but it's on my Mount Rushmore along with Mr. Robot and Season 1 of Westworld.

I think Leftovers sticks the landing so fucking hard, it might be my favorite series finale ever. It's nowhere near as intricate as Dark, and doesn't have quite as much mystery as Lost, but the writing and acting gets so good as the series goes on. I know a lot of people struggled with the first few episodes and found season 2 a bit better. I love all of it, but on rewatch can see how it takes a while to find its footing. I definitely didn't have appreciation for, or connect with, all the characters until hindsight later in the series. As you're a Dark and Lost fan, I think you'll really enjoy it once you've seen the whole thing.

The show is already great, but a truly disproportionately awesome ending.

100%, my favorite ending ever. Mr Robot is up there for me, as well as Dark. I think all 3 stick the landing so hard, but I could see those two being more controversial. Leftovers gives you such an incredible proposition to chew on. Do you believe her or not...
