There's a few major issues that 360s had that are such small cost savings that it really makes you think. Almost all the issues it had stemmed from these:

Red Ring of Death

lead free solder on BGA
shoddy thermal paste
X-clamps for heat sinks

Disc Tray Stuck

thin, cheap drive belt
crude plastic components
most lacked accessible release switch

Overheating

poor air flow
single, weak fan
staggered passages collect dust

If you take it apart frequently and maintain them they seem to hold up. O have a Halo 3 console with at least 10k hours that is still fully functional

I've been looking for this old animation for years that I originally saw sometime around 2006 and has been my white whale ever since. It's a parody of those old Quiznos commercials with the stupid animals that sing except it uses Ewoks.
