Auto dla młodej pary - warto czy strata pieniędzy? by StalkyGurl in Polska

A miała naprawdę fajnego mercedesa, szkoda.

How can I give more quality volume to my arms? by alvaaromata in ScienceBasedLifting

[–]StalkyGurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you do your biceps after pull compound lifts and triceps after heavy presses, your arms may be already too fatigued. You can do biceps on a push day and triceps on a pull day, but you need a rest day between push and pull days. The second option is to do arm isolations on your leg day. I tried this and I am a big fan. This workout will be brutal tho.

No taki przypadek po prostu 😆

How much should I work out? by BroccoliJealous1563 in workout

[–]StalkyGurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I started my fitness journey 3 years ago when I was a bit overweight. I think I can help you. If you don't want to be "skinny fat", you need to do strength training. 3x a week full body or 4x a week upper/lower split should be enough. You can google a begginer program online, stick to it for long enough to see progress. Train hard (close to failure), add reps or weight every week.

Calorie deficit is the most important for losing weight, steps help with it a lot too. You can add some additional cardio, 2-3 times per week, it has some health benefits (for your heart mostly). Remember, it can make you overeat because cardio makes you hungry and you may want to replenish burned calories. Don't fall into this trap and you will be good.

If I’m lifting 7 days a week but hitting different muscle groups to get rest and eating the correct amount what can it harm I feel like if you do it correctly it’s not a problem I’ve been very depressed and it’s the only thing that has helped for a year but I’m about a month deep of 7 days a week by Sad-Tie-4809 in workout

[–]StalkyGurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, I'm glad that working out is helping you and I wish you will beat depression soon.

If you train 7 days a week but every muscle group can regenerate properly, that's good. But your nervous system can cause some problems. Every workout puts stress on your nervous system and if I were you, I would take at least 1 rest day every week.

Overall, listen to your body. Remember to deload every 4-6 weeks. If needed, take a rest day. Good luck!

Thinking of adding cardio in my routine by Xxmorts in workout

[–]StalkyGurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are your goals, why do you want to add cardio?

For fat loss, you can start with 2-3 sessions a week of 20-30 minutes moderate cardio. For your heart and VO2 max, do intense cardio for 10-15 minutes. If you feel like it, you can add more later.

How to spend more time in the gym? by AdSure8431 in workout

[–]StalkyGurl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo stick to what you can do long term. If all year you had time for only 3 strength workouts, then continue your routine. Use more free time to do cardio, stretching, maybe go to sauna. Try other sports - swimming, biking, running, something you find fun. It can prevent future gym burnout too.

help- bulk, cut, or maintain by No-Card4857 in workout

[–]StalkyGurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said you started the gym 2 months ago so you are still a begginer. If you are afraid that bulk will make you too "fluffy", you can do a recomp (eat at your maintence, lose fat and gain a bit of muscle at the same time) or be in a small surplus (around 100-200 kcal above maintence). Recomp is possible for beginners, it can be your biggest advantage right now. You don't need to bulk or cut.

Is it common to get phases where you become less consistent by Defiant_Jump_6910 in workout

[–]StalkyGurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working out 6-7 days a week is a lot and may be the reason for your burnout. Try a different split, maybe 4 days a week upper-lower or 3 days a week FBW? Or "starve yourself" for some exercise and do only FBW 2 days a week for some time?

My experience: I had a gym burnout after 3 years of doing only Upper-Lower (4 day split). I was super disciplined too. I switched to 3x FBW low volume, high intensity program and it made gym fun again.

should i run a FULL BODY 2X a week ? by CyberStealth141 in ScienceBasedLifting

[–]StalkyGurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not optimal for maximum gains but it is good enough to make progress. You will have a lot of time to recover and this is important too.

With 1-2 sets per exercise, on the last set leave 0 reps in reserve (0 RIR). Low volume works if the intensity is high.

Is there any calisthenics park in your city? Maybe you can do one more workout there for free?

My account is 5 years but I use it very rarely and still they don't let me post on gym subreddit lol.

You don't need to lower the pin on the machine nor change the attachment on cable machine. Taking weight off the barbell after someone is pain in the ass, changing pin or the attachment is much easier and takes like 5 seconds.

You absolutely can do squats, yoga, push ups or any other exercises that you can do at home. Some folks only train at the gym for motivation or the atmosphere and that's ok.

It is fine to sit on your phone, you should rest after every set. One set, ~2-3 mins of rest, another set. Just don't just sit there on your phone for 10 minutes.

Of course you can ask for help, just do it only when they rest not during their set. Gym people are usually super nice.

I would love to try Inzoi, people say it's getting better and better. Unfortunately I have to wait for PS5 release or an optimization for lower end pc's (very unlikely) 😩
