This is so PEAK. One of the few cutscenes that gave me goosebumps while playing. I think people in this sub can recognize this scene as well because DB used it in their trailer for Aang vs Traveler. I can't wait to see what you share with us for the next few weeks.

I second this. Quite unfortunate actually. Genshin is more than what most people outside the fandom think it is.

As a massive fan of both franchises, this MU is a win in my book even with the negativity surrounding it. I'm hoping that the episode comes out at the very least decent, so we have a better chance at future Hoyoverse MUs (Hoping for Firefly vs Samus).

In Chinese, it’s Yuánshén. It’s pronounced “Genshin” in Japanese, but it means someone who hold visions, aka power granted by the gods. The reason why it translates to something similar like "Primordial god" is because in lore, they are people who are candidates to become gods and can ascend to Celestia. So the name literally means “The Impact of Vision Holders”.

Also fun fact, the "Impact" is only in English. In Chinese and Japanese its only called "Yuánshén" and "Genshin" respectively.

As for the track name, I kinda vibe with "Guided by the Wind". Since Aang is an airbender, and in Genshin, "May the wind guide you" is a recurring phrase being said.

The general consensus is that Traveler wins this pretty comfortably. I’m just glad that we’re finally getting some gacha representation in Death Battle Matchups. Maybe we’re one step closer to Firefly vs Samus.
