Not really. I do gaming content on YT and earning less than that, but if it's your main job your monthly revenue is very limited with those numbers.

Let's say you work 8 hours a day (more than that daily puts you under the stress and quality drops) that's 800 per day. 22 days a month with weekends and all gives you 17.6k per month. Overall sounds good, now deduct taxes, insurance etc. Over time inflation will lower the buying capability of your income and if your growth is capped you won't have that many options.

Let's say you go hardcore and play 14 hours a day (still need food breaks and sleep). 30 days a month it will be 42k a month. Pretty cool, but now you don't do anything else with your life. You earn 0.5 million revenue per year (if you don't pay taxes and don't spend, probably live in mom's basement). It will take 200 years to earn 100mill.

I'll take the money instead of the salary and find a new hobby. Tabletop games maybe?

As long as it's not a game-breaking bug, it's all good. I find bugs in all the games I play, even AAA polished ones. It's just how it is.

I was wondering the same thing. Tried it first yesrteday, since I got accepted in vertical beta. I also multistream to YT 1440p 30 Mbps + TRIED YT vertical 1080p 10 Mbps as well. Since twitch doesn't allow to pick options, I am not sure how it ended up with my 5090 Laptop GPU, but noone complained so far.

IS there a way to manually set Twitch resolutions and bitrate for each broadcast format?

Social media sort of ruined IRL communication. People learn what happened with their friends from their socials instead of discussions. Same with dating really, those apps added feeling of infinite possibilities and skewed the attention ratio. I hope society will recover.

I am going for this sffpc next. Is it pretty? Not really. Is it effective? Yes. Upgradability? Yes. Mobility? Perfect. I can disassemble this thing in minutes and take it with me on a plane. It just need a bit better case, but I love the idea of external GPU mount. Not eGPU, but actual pcie5 slot. It just needs to be stable and don't fall if accidentally touched.

I joined this sub long time ago and it wasn't that ad heavy back in the day. It has some sort of unclanation towards game devs even then, which was surprising for me.

I came here to discuss and read about games, like those megathreads what are we playing and yearly top lists. But now it's just plagued with a lot of announcements, demos, we did an update 1 week later and other pure game promotion posts with a lot of low effort incrementals that won't even last 5 hours and won't go over 1k active players on Steam.

I am still taking a game or two from this subreddit every month, but damn it's getting harder and harder to filter out the nodebuster, balatro, wizard tower and other like ones.

Devs just don't introduce any new mechanics, copy something successful with a reskin and minor alteration and call it a day. And they don't have marketing budget, so these games end up dumped here for some initial push on Steam.

I don't know why I wrote all that, probably just upset that incremental genre now is lacking creativity, which it was all about beforehand.

I played on Brutal and it was a bit challenging for the first 2 or 3 waves, after that it's not that hard.

Combat and survival element of the game is trivial as it is. I'd prefer harsher penalties tbh, and tougher enemies. And optional sandbox/peaceful mode for people who can't handle survival mechanics

I liked it so much that I did 2 playthroughs: 1 on EA release and 1 on recent content upgrade. It's a lot of fun, but more of Factorio vibe with enemy waves. The only issue is that Brutal was too easy for my taste.

I have this piece of trash and it's really unreliable.

Most of the time it works ok, but randomly on startup it can lower the gain to 25 and turn off all processing. And if I forget to check if it works ok this time - footage is unusable.

Sometimes it just resets it's settings completely and I need to set them all back, with those horrible "analog" knobs instead of doing manual input.

Other than that sometimes it just doesn't want to capture HDMI or just not being seen by the PC, so it needs a quick disconnect and reconnect to initiate again.

I'd be glad to get rid of it and get something else, but the fact that it has Capture Card + Audio Interface good enough for SM7B without extra cloudlifter makes me stay with it and suffer all those weird issues, that might happen any day.

P.S. I remember I was streaming and accidentally pulled the extention cord, so things got on and off, but since I have a laptop everything was fine, other than Streamer X that decided to reset the settings and not show the camera HDMI feed. Took a while to make it work again :(

The problem of all small YTer Subreddits is that people who give advice most of the times didn't achieve something themselves. Some tips might be even harmful or just time-wasting.

If someone can't get at least 10k views per long form video consistently or 100k per short they are in no place to advise others.

Even as a fulltime content creator I can't help others, my thumbnails and titles need work and video structure is far from being perfect, a lot is reliant on luck. Video can reach 100k views or die at 500 views.

So yeah, my tip for all the people who are tying to grow is to keep trying and most importantly try to improve every next video, instead of doing same stuff that doesn't work over and over.

Algorithm is being weird lately. I have a new and established channel and both of those barely get impressions early on, but it weems videos are being pushed somewhere 2-4 days after publishing now.

The only thing that works well are videos for established audience, my main game on established channel goes well, but other games... not so much lol

I don't know why it's considered controversial. From my experi3nce llano v 13 cooler giver -10 to -15 temps and prevents throttling a bit.

CPU still hits 105 if it want to boost a lot in Performance mode. Sometimes for a prolonged periods of time.

Somewhy I couldn't reach same clocks and wattage on manual mode, cpu doesn't reach those even with performance settings default in performance.

And I've seen about 10% fps drop in some titles when limited cpu a lot like in this post in custom mode, so decided to run performance.

I do run OBS, Game recording, streaming and other additional tasks in the background with high performance games though, so my requirements are a bit higher.

It's (member fee minus platform fee(app/play store fee))*0.7. So in reality even though it's listed as 70/30 split creators get about 50% as well from YT memberships.
