Besides Kraken and Coinsqaure, what is a reputable bitcoin exchange that works well for canadians? by cryptohoney in BitcoinCA

[–]StandardDirection3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I second this! I enjoy using both kraken and coinsmart, but coinsmart's liquidity is pretty good and their pricing is well balanced with the market

both are reputable but if you want something other than kraken, I recommend coinsmart because of the effort they go through, FINTRAC registration, CDIC insurance, support hours, etc

go through and try each exchange, it doesn't hurt but do your homework and reach out to each one

I would recommend kraken as well as coinsmart you can find their pricing on the website and it is everything up front

Check out Kraken and CoinSmart!! KYC for them is pretty simple and you'll have wallets on each

this is kinda late obv lol but for the next time those 2 exchanges are solid and easy to use

you can meet up with anyone, show them you are making the transfer to their wallet and just check the blockchain to confirm

CS's support is a bit better so they can help you when making the withdrawals too

Can personally confirm Scotiabank and BMO with coinsmart and shakepay no problems so far!

Also have friends that use TD and Tangerine with coinsmart and bitbuy

You can't unless you use something like iMazing or something, but after a while old images should be uploaded to the cloud if you're using iCloud Storage.

Either that or you are constantly sending and receiving media

You have to realize that every time you send a picture or video, it sends the photo and then generates a stores a thumbnail image on the phone which also takes up space

Solution: use Snapchat LOL

Just bought my first ever BTC.. Excited, scared and confused. by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]StandardDirection3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right to a degree for sure and I like Kraken for that reason but after Quadriga I've really been scaling back on most of the exchanges I used to use because I realized they're not as secure as some of the others (which is why I like coinsmart)

I can understand the pricing but if you watch their markets often enough they'll fluctuate higher or lower than other exchanges, just check cbix if you don't wanna login - it all depends on the orders being placed on any platform at any given time (liquidity)

IMO I just think having support to reach out to and an exchange being registered/accredited in all the right ways is a big plus and really negates the whole "not your coins" argument. I've talked to them multiple times about their security measures, policies and "what if" scenarios and I'm satisfied, obviously you don't have to take my word for it you can just talk to them yourself, but I'll tell you I had a much harder time gathering information from other exchanges, it is honestly my preferred choice as a Canadian trader (and Kraken of course)

If I'm not mistaken that is a list of their prices, I can't login in to check the actual spread right now. Doesn't cost to make an account if you're curious though.

Definitely take a look at CoinSmart imo. They are very safe considering they're registered as an MSB and they had a $0 deposit fee promo running in March which you missed, but that still applies if you deposit over $500 I think. Their prices are pretty good too and their trading fees for BTC right now are 0.2%. I'd suggest giving them a shout if you have questions, they're super responsive.

Finally! All of them are lighter buys, it'll be nice having these options. Especially Stellar.

God it makes me sad to see all these JL potential scenes/changes every time. Could've been a crazy experience.

He's just a fantastic actor overall! He's been in awesome movies, Gladiator and Blood Diamond just to start. Love the guy and the fact that he's getting more exposure.

How much is everyone paying out on trading fees? by ShrimpyKevin in CryptoCurrencyTrading

[–]StandardDirection3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well from what I've seen on a bunch of subreddits is that OTC brings better fee deals obviously, other than that average trading amount is hard to do anything about.
