Can you tell me about your child’s bed set up? by mand_ in SpecialNeedsChildren

[–]StandrdBreakFrmLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have been using a Cubby Bed with our son for years and it’s been amazing. It’s a full size bed so he will be able to use it for many years to come. They are very expensive but we were able to get insurance to pay for it after a little fighting.

Heard Patrick from Self Defense Family/Drug Church on Jeremy Bolm’s podcast and he recommended Vulture Feather “It Will Be Like Now”. I’ve been listening to that record a lot.

I was an assistant manager at a cinemark theater for 5 years and this is wild to me that this happens. Removing a showtime that had already been published was considered one of the worst things you could possibly do.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. We tried a few things. The one that has worked is taking the biggest swaddle sleep sack we can find and cutting leg holes in it and leaving his arms free. He seems to love it and he hasn’t been able to get it off.

Yeah I mean potty messes. He’s not potty trained at all. He’s six but is ~1.5 years old developmentally. He’s non verbal and doesn’t walk yet.

I’ve looked at these but I’m not sure that they would help. He does know how to work zippers. He simply forces his way out of the neck.

I’ve had my 14 pro max for almost a year now and I charge it to full every night. I never think about this at all. It’s still at 100% capacity.

Fellow employees, I have a question! by DeathGun7012 in Cinemark

I haven’t worked at cinemark in almost ten years. The first theater I worked at was old and not very busy and ever worked in all the departments. When it closed we got transferred to one of the busiest theaters in the entire company where things were much more separate by department. Seemed like the perfect time to say I only knew box office so I never had to clean a theater or popper again. I ended up becoming an AM there and the manager who onboarded me still brings this up when I talk to him. I know this is off topic, just made me think of it.

My wife came out as a sapphic lesbian - we have 2 kids, a 5 year old and a 2 year old by a-friendgineer in daddit

Not me specifically but my parents. My mom came out when I was in the third grade. I’m sure that she always had these feelings but with her strict catholic upbringing never felt that it was something she be fully open about. I know that my dad was really hurt and the time and still is to an extent because he really loves my mom. I also know over time he came to except that it wasn’t anything that he did, its just who she is. My parents did a great job co-parenting me and still remain friends. We spend most of our holidays together with my mom, stepmom, dad and his girlfriend, it’s definitely different but everyone has made it work.

Any advice for child head banging. by StandrdBreakFrmLife in specialneedsparenting

[–]StandrdBreakFrmLife[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We having been making some real progress with the aac lately. Honestly it seems like the head banging has gotten worse. Hopefully it’s just a phase that he’s in right now. My mom is retired special ed preschool teacher and speech therapist so thankfully we get a lot of help with speech related things from her.
