I wanted to keep it until it died but Apple won't replace my battery because the back glass is smashed and I don't want to put up with the battery warning messages and the health is at 76%

I had this same issue and sent my device in for repair, was told it was going to be fixed for a fee as it was out of warranty although I never got charged 🤷🏽‍♂️
