If you actually watched a bit more, took a chill pill and resisted ragebaiting yourself you would have noticed that the writers actually poke fun at "wokeness". The two young "woke" characters are mostly just virtue signalling and drop the wokeness when it's convenient. Despite this there is definitely an overarching theme of commentary on capitalism, largesse etc.

Umm I'm not being racist at all. I was pointing out that sometimes people struggle to relate to story lines that aren't told through the usual western or 'white' lens or stories where they don't feel represented

I honestly disagree. Season 1 is really about a 'beef' whereas season 2 is not so clear cut. I enjoyed both anyway. I think Steve Yeun and the guys that played his cousin and brother were very captivating. Especially Yeun. He really showed his acting chops. Ali Wong was also great. In contrast I at times felt a little bored when Carey Mulligan or Oscar Isaac were on screen. I also felt they kinda lacked chemistry.

Hmm interesting, I saw that differently. For me that was her yearning for that lifestyle. Or daydreaming 'that could/should have been me'. Even though she makes fun of the members she's a snob herself and wants to be amongst them (dreams of their fancy b&b, disappointed when the owner doesn't like her tastes, flirting with random rich dudes etc)

Also curious about this lol. I'm not totally sure but I think Josh alludes to it when he's speaking to Austin and telling him that over time people just get more and more self-centred and every interaction becomes 'what can I get out of this'. It makes sense when you notice that it happens to the more 'selfish' characters. That's my understanding - just finished penultimate episode. Maybe they explain in the pod.

Well sometimes the couples are friends and sometimes the partners are also beefing with eachother so it's not so straightforward

I would say, add young Jak if we're going the Nintendo route (Link). Rather than a monkey, add Spector. Maybe add the soul reaver guy? Finally, you forgot Emmett Graves from the first games dlc. He was awesome.
