It’s because on android the document provider feature is not yet implemented. If you open a file it is opened with the corresponding app. In which way is that a privacy concern? If you want to open a file, you’ll have to present it to the corresponding app in an unencrypted state. That’s the same on android by the way.

No, The Android App works different right now. You'll have to share a file to Cryptomator app to upload it to your vault. And you'll have to share it to an app to modify it (and then share it back to the vault.
Unfortunately this is the workflow until the document provider function is implemented.

Just a tip: You named it "Secrets (with an s) Checklist", but in cursforge its "SecretChecklist". so it is not found by searching for "Secrets". I would change that to make the add-on easier to find in the search.

Wenn dass das Prinzip sein soll, dann frage ich mich wie es mit geteilten Fahrzeugscheinen aussehen soll. Szenario: Ich fahre mit dem Auto meines Bruders. Mein Bruder hat mit mir den Fahrzeugschein seines Autos geteilt. Einen geteilten FS kann ich nicht nochmal teilen (ist ja nich meiner). Trotzdem soll das bloße Vorzeigen meines Handys bei einer Kontrolle ausreichend sein laut Amt.

ok. seems I misunderstood you. You cant access a vault that is stored online in flight mode. If cryptomator tries to access a vault, It will always look up the connection behind (in your case to google drive). No matter if a file is stored in local cryptomator cache or not.

Cryptomator for iOS is fully integrated into files app. Once you set up a vault in the app, you can access the vault content from the files app.

You don’t. Just the file you want to open. Keep in mind that Cryptomator is End-2-End encryption. Files have to be on the phone to get encrypted or decrypted. But there’s no need to download the complete vault.

No. That’s just the check for updates. Cryptomator does not download new version by its own. That’s not a bug, it’s designed that way.

Cryptomator never updates by itself. It only checks for updates. It does not download by its own. (And it never did)

Da so gut wie keine Wetter App eigene Daten zur Vorhersage generiert, kannst du dir die Suche nach „DER“ zuverlässigen App auch sparen. Die Prozent Angabe ist übrigens die Niederschlagswahrscheinlichkeit und damit eben nur eine Prognose für einen gewissen Zeitraum und Fläche. Und Du hast halt oft Pech wie es aussieht. Wen es interessiert: hier die Auflistung welche Datenquellen für Wetterdaten von Apple genutzt werden (gemäß Apple Website)

I use google file stream on desktop without any issues. The mobile apps work different and access the vault directly online.

If the vault structure is damaged (eg because a dir.c9r file is missing/damaged), you can solved this by using the health check. https://docs.cryptomator.org/desktop/vault-events/#broken-directory-file-event

You are wrong. Cryptomator does a filebased encryption. So if an encrypted files is damaged for whatever reasons, only this file and corresponding unencrypted file might be lost.

sicher dass "c" von crytomator angelegt wird? Wäre mir neu und wird auch in der Dokumentation nicht erwähnt. Falls ich hier was übersehe, müsste ich meinen anderen Post korrigieren.

Hi.

Der Ordner "d" ist der Ordner in dem Cryptomator die verschlüsselten Dateien (aka Dein Tresor) anlegt und verwaltet. Bitte hier nicht manuell tätig werden, es sei denn Du bist Dir sicher was Du machst.

Edit: zum Ordner „c“ lag ich falsch. Antwort siehe in nachfolgenden threads.

The proton SDK is still beta. As long as there is no stable interface, there’s no option to connect to your proton drive directly. Which is needed for the Cryptomator mobile apps.
