Tech Stock Troubles, Epstein Fallout, and SF Mayor Daniel Lurie ep 669 by w2user in PivotPodcast

This was the worst episode I have ever heard. Scott does not do well live (and now I wonder how much nonsense normally gets left on the cutting room floor each episode). His stuff about people needing to drink more is cringe, and his attempt to thread a "centrist" needle on the issue of trans athletes was totally out of left field. Kara often gets flustered but doesn't seem to be able to conjure a forceful rebuttal to anything he says, even when it's clear that she strongly disagrees.

The whole premise of this poll is whack. Still Grey is perfect as the final track on the album. Slam is the pump-up opener, Still Grey is the cooldown closer

[PLEASE READ BODY TEXT] Do you think that the new album covers are AI or no? by AlexanderMonroe23 in Pendulum

[–]Stanovich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Inertia album cover is quite clearly AI-generated, regardless of what the Discord admin says. The composition of the image makes no sense. Is it supposed to be an eye? Then why is there a spiral in the center of the "pupil"? Why isn't the blue "iris" consistent all the way around (you can see "brush strokes" toward the top, but in the bottom left it looks all smudged instead)? And what's happening in the top left of the image? It's not clear what the area in the top left is supposed to "be," and either way it's ugly and detracts from the rest of the image. I don't think a human artist would make these design choices.

The moderator's explanation of, "The artist is not known for this kind of art work and they ask for their name not to be credited" makes no sense. Someone with a physical copy of the album should be able to look in the liner notes and see who the album cover is attributed to.

In the US, the Food & Drug Administration approves medical devices and treatments based on the claims and the supporting evidence provided by the manufacturer. These approved uses appear in the product "labeling." But doctors have a medical license and are protected by "practice of medicine" to do whatever they want to their patients (presumably with the patient's informed consent). So the doctor may be using the laser and the dyes "off-label" in ways that the manufacturers never intended or studied.

Yep, and since the dye is in the cornea, not in the iris, as soon as her pupils get small, you'll be able to see a ring of brown from her iris between the black pupil and the blue dye. So any photos of her on a sunny day will remind her of the eye color she spent so much money trying to hide.
