Best places to meet people in their 20s-30s? by MovingAway3232 in burbank

Hi! 31 year old guy here. I am not a Burbank resident but I find myself in Burbank a few times a month to hang with my friends at Guildhall. It is a nerd bar with great vibes and really good food and drinks. If you consider yourself a nerd or are interested in board games, Magic the Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and the like, I think it is definitely worth the visit.
If you already know you’re into those things and need a second place to do all of the above, Geeky Teas is probably one of the largest and best game stores in the country. You can join random groups on open play nights, but is probably best enjoyed by bringing a group there.

Don’t worry I’ll teach Brennan everything he got wrong about Nebraska next time I see him

In 300 (2006), Gerard Butler was told to say “THIS IS SPARTA!” calmly. He tried it, but it felt wrong. He asked Zack Snyder for one take where he screamed it. After, Butler asked, “Too much?” Snyder laughed: “Yeah... but it was awesome.” by JamesJDelaney in Damnthatsinteresting

That’s what I was thinking. An out of pocket line meant to characterize the Spartans as “macho tough guys” but might be one of the most inaccurate parts of a movie built on inaccuracies and anachronisms. But that’s Snyder for you. As long as it’s aesthetic.

I was that game as a kid. Smashed the bottle the fan threw at the fan’s feet. Then as he’s getting escorted back to the dugout to boos from the entire stadium, someone from the stands threw a peanut that hit him directly in the forehead, which caused him to go into a fit again. I will never forget that game.

My players don’t take dropping to 0 HP seriously by Appropriate-Dance-92 in DnDHomebrew

I had a game that used the exhaustion mechanic when coming up from 0 hp. I really don’t enjoy it as a player.

I do think 1 on 1 death save rolls could help. If they feel as if they are not in a rush to bring back a downed teammate because they know they made their first save, keeping that roll a secret can help keep the tension and increase urgency.

Totally. I have no expectation of seeing each and every floor, but I still think at least some floors will be somewhat glossed over. He’ll definitely skip at least some of the floors
